I've often wondered, aloud to some, if Wellman's grand scheme is to be known as the AD that made Wake more known for football instead of basketball, seeing as how that would leave a lasting legacy with how historically bad football was before. And in the process, tearing down the bell cow program. Just a thought.

It was time. RW did alot of good things for Wake but we needed a new vision and the end of the Manning era was the perfect time to change leaders in the AD.

I think we make a big splash hire.
