Hey, fuckers. Do you think Good Will Hunting era Robin Williams could bench 285? I mean, he doesn’t look jacked but he’s hairy af so he’s probably got a shitton of testosterone and maybe old man strength. I’m so torn.

I actually though a lot about this when I watched the movie a couple of years ago, and while I doubt that Robin Williams could, I definitely think Dr. Sean Maguire could.

He seems like a tough Boston guy. His dad and brothers probably work over at Boston Sand and Gravel and he meets up with them after teaching classes at the community college to pump iron.

This is the kind of thoughtful answer I was looking for. Plus, he put Damon’s ass on a wall. Seems likely.

I think he could. It was the way he delivered the line. I just rewatched this year, and it was totally natural the way that conversation flowed. Like they weren't random numbers. Also, knowing Robin Williams, he wouldn't Jack off about how much he could lift, neither would the character. Now, he might not have been able to crush out ten no-lock-out reps, but he could probably throw it up once or twice.

Watching Mississippi Burning for the first time. Amazing film, but the gravitas of the whole thing is thrown off for me by the fact that a pubescent Eddie Winslow is one of the key actors.

It's almost like he was doing the job he was paid for.

Now I’m interested in what the people that eat the same breakfast every single morning eat.
