1st round QBs are a much better bet than a 3rd rounder. It has nothing to do with the preseason. I was making this argument before the draft.

QBs are crapshoots, Grier could be a really good QB at the end of the day for all we know. Cam looked like dog shit before the injury too, might just be something with our preseason offense

Grier is never going to be serviceable. I don't think he does anything well.

I don't have a problem with taking a QB in the 3rd if you legitimately think he could be the guy.

Wake has 2 QB's better than Grier.
 
Makes our schedule more manageable as well. Getting the Texans and Colts on the road much less of a negative now.

I'd be very surprised if the NFC South doesn't get (at least) two playoff teams

I think the Saints are in. I think us and the Falcons will be in that ugly 7 to 9 win range.
 
So just last year all over again?

I dunno, I gotta believe ATL's gonna be a good bit better, surely won't have as many defensive injuries again and don't really see why they'll be worse offensively. And we had a good offseason, in spite of that unforgivable sin we committed in the third round of the draft. And Brees wasn't impressive down the stretch last year, will be interesting to see if that carries over
 
The hidden story in Luck's retirement. State has 3 starting QBs in the NFL and nothing to show for it. State, UNC, and Duke could have 5 or 6 starting QBs by the end of the season.

Seriously. I wish there were more websites and such holding them accountable. It's crazy these people get paid millions of dollars to follow this stuff all day and they don't know anymore than us schmoes.
