Biff the end of that posrep was “my mom’s still not convinced”.

I have been telling my mom for years my sister is going to get divorced and my friend has been telling me based on the behavior I describe from my sister that she’s cheating. This year my sister decided to get divorced. My mom and I took her kids to LA for the weekend over Memorial Day. My mom’s Ring doorbell caught my sister going into my mom’s guest house with some guy carrying a crockpot. I’ve really been wondering who brings a crockpot to a sexy hookup and what was in there.

Store bought lube ain’t cheap.

the timeline is hard to read, but sounds like the sister got caught after divorce was filed

might still have cheated, but that's not sufficient evidence

There’s a whole bunch more evidence.

I hate that it happens, but, man, I fucking love reading about this shit. I'll get on Reddit and just soak up some dude all like, "caught wife cheating, she doesn't know, I'm collecting evidence, lawyer inbound."

I've been thinking about getting a Ring for my house for a while now. There's crazy shit happening on my street all day and night and it's often quite entertaining, from fights, random drunkos, people falling off their bikes/scooters after running into the railing of the tree box, the cop standing on the hood of a car with his gun drawn screaming at the driver to get out, and other just random shit.

wife wanted one and i reluctantly agreed. I actually like it now, though you'll want to adjust the sensitivity/sensor region otherwise you get a billion notifications for things like shadows moving

simple to install/set up as long as you have the correct transformer, which is also easy to change/update as long as you can find it.

That's really the only concern I have is that there is so much activity in front of my house that the sensor would either be picking up movement 24 hours a day or I would have to make the area so small that it would only pick up what is happening directly on my front stoop, which is very little.

we want to get one as well. we bought the Ring alarm during Prime day and it's worked well so far. Very easy to set up and I like the Alexa integration.

Ring video doorbell isn't going to do you much good without a handgun.

For those of you with a Ring doorbell, what do you like about it? What does it do for you? I don't have a doorbell at all. Gotta knock and incur the wrath of my dog that way.

i like it - i'm far enough back from the street that you really have to be on my sidewalk for the alert to pop. You can also see what amazon has left for you.

i like seeing who comes up to my door without me going to the door so I can confirm my desire to not get out of my chair

RIP part of that group of voices from my childhood, Cokie Roberts.

Also, one that has hit my current department particularly hard -- RIP John Cohen. No obit yet, but he was one of the New Lost City Ramblers, a pioneer in the folk revival in the 50s/60s along with Mike Seeger (brother of Pete; Cohen married their younger sister) and Tom Paley. Cohen also was a distinguished photographer and film maker, folklorist, musicologist, all that shit, and documented a young Bob Dylan coming up in New York in the early 60s.
