Imagine voting for Trump in 2016 not knowing you were signing your death warrant four years later. Should I refer to COVID-19 as Boomer Remover in front of my Trump in-laws or nah?

H1N1 had a mortality rate world wide of .02%. So less than the seasonal flu. The current projections for the coronavirus place the mortality rate at least at .8% if not higher. That’s a substantial difference.

You’re going to see Republicans on their coronavirus death bed asking if they can go ahead and fill out their ballots for Trump.

The national plan is what it always is, whoever has the best insurance.

Good insurance/bad insurance/no insurance isn't going to make a difference in a couple of weeks. If we get to Italy-levels, treatment decisions will be made to prioritize the young and sacrifice the old.

Sure, those with good insurance might pay less later if they make it, but it's not going to determine who lives and dies.

To be fair, quickly polling a group of on-the-ground experts isn't the worst idea.

But I'm sure that's something that would have been done months ago if Trump hadn't dismantled the Pandemics team.

Unsurprisingly, the Boston Marathon has been moved to September. No link, I'm listening in real time now.

I read that as David Lee Roth and thought, Jesus, that guy's much more socially aware than I figured he would be.

I just saw NY Penn Station on CNN. It looks like a ghost town outside.

8%?

.8%? Numbers from a week ago had it at 3.4% but it seems that the total number of cases are underreported (and in America well underreported since we can’t get tests mass produced somehow even though the rest of the world has).
