Lord of the Rings Mafia by Townie ft. Gooner & WFU; Civs Lose

There you go, WFU.

You may not want to give me the credit for this game, because you don't like my posting style - but I was fucking grossly accurate with about 8 reads; maybe 9. Toogs was not one of them. Neither was Juice. I had juice so damn wrong; it's embarrassing.

Who was the final mafia team, anyway? I haven't even bothered to look yet.

I was wrong that Knight would agree with me he played a subpar game, it appears. Didn't think you were bad, just didn't think you were good. And I've seen you play well.

Well, great that you would have confirmed it, but a few problems:

1) we didn't know who silenced me, but assumed it was mafia
2) if you did confirm it that wouldn't have proven your alignment at all
3) see points 1 and 2 about why damo coming out and claiming it while i was silenced wouldn't have been looked at terribly anyway -- only thing is that it would have given him more cred post n4 killing of me -- but during d4 we didn't know i would be killed

Masons should always claim immediately. You being silenced makes it even more important. It doesn't really matter, it doesn't change the outcome of this game, but for the future.

I fucking told everyone this would happen with knight post-game. And he will selectively pick posts to try to make himself look as good as possible (in an internet game, no less *chortle*) while ignoring all the other shit he threw against the wall during the game.

It's so self-unctuous.

I would have claimed immediately, but I was silenced. By a fellow civ.

But since silencing is typically a maf power, I figured best to ride it out and claim the next day.

At that point, pretty sure we would not have killed you if you came out as masons, though. Masons are on the bottom run of mafia hitting until the cop/protection is dead. We only hit you because you were an unknown and we knew you were fellowship based on your claim about your PM being like eagles. If your goal was to eat the night hit, it was a good job, it also ended up clearing damo.

Im not sure it would have stopped everyone from lynching gouda, though.

I don't dislike knight as much as you do. More of a "I'd be scared he'd say something off color that would piss off my wife" than "this guy is what's wrong with Trump's America."

But yes, that is what he's doing.

AND he was silenced and then killed the next night which is what mafia does. Very frustrating that I figured out the silencer but he wasn't mafia. That was difficult

damo and I were a bit unclear on the importance of destroying the ring and how the mafia was factoring killing those that could vs investigators (assuming they didn't overlap)

But if damo comes out a mason with me and I'm silenced and can just vote but not confirm, then people start to theorize that damo silenced me and is using this as cover. damo could get lynched, mafia hits me that night, and mafia gets through another round with the masons killed.

I just don't see a logical way for masons to come out on d4 (we found each other n3; MERRY CHRISTMAS!) with me being silenced and not derail the thread into wondering of the mason claim is legit or not. And if gouda then comes out and says he silenced me, then that's a whole different level of confusion.

To me mason is a good clear late and hard to deal with early. I didn't think it was worth coming out early, especially with both of you in the fellowship.

Again, like knight irl

Can't stand mafia playing knight. fucking blowhard that tries too hard to be funny and then takes self-worth from an internet game. its stooooopid.

Lol I was super obvious about it

yeah its not like damo could say something like...dv7 is silenced, he is my mason partner, he is going to vote for me in 1 minute. And then you vote for him.

that was a mind-fuck for me too and when i stopped following along dead since i couldnt even post in our mason chat anymore after i died

which, btw, was a WTFacoster decision from the mods. has that literally ever happened before? did mafia members get asked not to continue to post in maf chat after they died?

like, seriously, what was the thought process there?

Let me break it down into small words for you to understand:

In mason chat: "DV7: Damo, I'm silenced. Post "DV7 is silenced. We are masons. Around 10AM, he's going to vote for X player (Ph, the IC), that will confirm that he and I are masons."

DV7 in thread at 10AM: ***ph***

You are assuming everyone else in the game had the same information as you did at the exact same point in the game.

YOU would have bought our claim, because YOU knew I was silenced, but others playing wouldn't have been so willing to buy into such a claim without any questions whatsoever.

Yep, because mafia couldn't arrange such a thing either.

Yes a play like this works

Knight's reads were definitely good. I had him as civ early and agreed with a lot of his reads. He just couldn't move the needle on getting town to vote for his reads.

While his posts may bother some i think it helps to read the essence of what he's saying vs all the packaging around it. Which makes him infinitely more valuable than the people that just straight shitcloud.
