2020 Presidential Election: Biden v. Trump

Posters on here are just so obtuse that they can't reconcile the evil behind a statement like this with the evil embodied by the Trump administration.

You sure got me, Connor, but suggesting that shooting unarmed people (seemingly implicitly implicating protesters given the timing of the remarks) in the legs is more humane than shooting them in the heart comes from a pretty dark place, my dude. You're a doctor, right? You surely know that a gunshot wound can also do plenty of damage to somebody's leg.

ETA: How about we just make it illegal or strongly disincentivized for cops to shoot unarmed people, Joe? This is like fucking means testing peoples' lives because you don't have the courage to stand up to the policing institution that you have kowtowed to your entire career!

This was a stupid, stupid thing for Biden to say. I neither Biden nor Bernie were the nominee. Sadly, that's not our reality.
 
Biden had 4-5 days to prepare and this is what he comes up with? Yikes.
 
It was a dumb take for Biden. Even if deadly force would be warranted if somebody was charging at you with a knife, the issue is much more deadly force being applied to somebody who is no threat to the arresting officers.
 
Dumb thing for Biden to say, but dumber to call him saying lethal force should not be used is somehow evidence of him being "evil."
 
These episodes have happened so many times over the years. For those supporting or considering voting for Trump because they value order, they need to be challenged with whether any President has been so ineffective in leading us past the incident and the responsive looting and protests.
This week has been a shit show. There are several reasons for that. One is Trump’s inability to lead us out of it. This is one more on the list to demonstrate Trump’s impotence where he has claimed strength.
 
None of how Trump has horrendously bungled and misled our nation is surprising. Not in any degree.


What’s been a little surprising is that it has taken so long for his arrogant incompetence to be manifest in ways which are yielding, unfortunately, increasingly rapid deleterious results.


I’m afraid our accelerating descent is upon us at last.
