I had all but cleared toogs mentally but the end of day yesterday and beginning of today is bizarre. He also claimed to know that duff was mafia.

What you're asking us to believe with your original post is that the Salamanca Maf (BYM confirmed RB for Maf2 who have even-numbered night hits based on Mako's final post and his subsequent confirmation as Maf2 in his death post) used a RB on someone outside of their mafia (Jman) on an odd night when the Fring Maf had the hit and the obvious hit was claimed cop Juice who had already taken out Maf2 Mako. I mean its possible, yeah. But it would be epically stupid.

That doesn't make sense, the framing part A. Happened on even nights and B. Makes some appear as maf to cop investigation

Numbers was investigated night one and came back civ.

SD3 – has not been around much which is a maf SD3 trait. I looked for any suggestion he has been silenced but do not see it.

rommy – general tone reaction. has not contributed as much as normal when civ. Did not like his reaction to the notification Juice claimed. If the game has an Indy there is almost certainly an Indy hunter and Rommy knows how Indy hunters work.

bym – has had an astounding 67 posts and I can’t recall any except for the random Kill the Quiets post super-late in D1 was maybe just a joke gone wrong but doesn’t look good. Spends most of his time analyzing other people’s reads instead of making his own reads (#575, #647, #656, #678) #632 soft defense of D14. #412 and #393 are odd af coming that close together and saying basically the exact same thing.

ph – QT callout was odd on D1. Manning soft-defense then immediate flip to Manning not looking good at the end of D1. Followed by “thinking about” switching to Duff which would have created a tie but then doesn’t do it. If Duff or Ph flip dirty the other looks not great.


Neutral in order of more maf to more civ:

bostondeac – Took me 18 seconds to do an ISO. I’ve only played with Boston once so hard to tell if the quietness is his style or maf. Only material contribution so far is to call out townie for contributing nothing. Which…just…wow. Early vote on dv7 probably not meaningful overall.

Ryala – I hate doing ISOs on Ryala. Important vote on dv7 on D2 but matters less in two-maf games. Pushing hard on gooner who I read as more civ. Don’t like #862. Too cheeky. Seems to be trying to out gooner with #720. Soft Jman defense in #525 if Jman flips maf.

Townie – Before I did an ISO on him I felt like townie has padded his post count without saying much important. But he actually has taken a pretty strong stand. He’s pretty consistently defended RW and gone after Gooner/Rommy (more gooner). Both meaningful votes were on dv7.

tim – I have literally nothing on tim even after doing a read-through. D1 he was on Duff. D2 he somehow missed the Juice claim and voted for numbers.

da – Initial tone read on him was positive since his pushes/reads have aligned with mine and had a civ-reading strong defense of the manning policy lynch. But his votes have been not great. Early vote on Manning and stayed completely out of the mix on D2. Aside from the manning/duff conversation on D1, play has been typical floating Da.

Knight – work demands not alignment-determinative. But the stroke post last night felt like an earnest attempt to participate

jman – I thought his read on Dv7 was garbage. Maybe the right read for the wrong reasons. Dv7 not self-protecting when Jman was tied with him is odd but Jman’s actual play has felt more civ than not – zero equivocation on his reads.

gouda – no read but feels like civ gouda in a role he isn’t inspired by


Civ lean:

Tejas – terribad list, dumbtell on dead QT, begs to be recruited. Prob a civ but if he’s recruitable needs to be lynched at some point

gooner – weird overnight last night. Basically named every player playing at some point before finally narrowing it down. I generally don’t read gooner well but I read the transparency of working through his reads in the thread as civ. Can’t see maf exposing themselves like that.

toogs – this is civ toogs. Angry, analytical, no real dick or mom jokes. #880 is peak civ toogs. Definitive in #886 and #927 is hallmark civ toogs trait.

jtp – started with my typical maf lean on JTP but reaction to stealing dv7’s soul was civ.


Weird Numbers/Juice Fuckery – I don’t believe anything either are saying but will play out eventually

juice – claimed mason & cop. Both claims feel like bullshit. Hitting mason partner on N1 is beyond luckbox. But his cop reveal on mako was legit.
numbers – hinted he’s the mason juice found N1 but had his vote on Juice on D2 so that’s clearly bullshit

So, this post was super helpful for me, because it distilled a ton of information about players that lead to reads.

However, the accuracy of the mafia reads is troubling. Like, <10% accurate so far.

The list of mafia has one? I realize that some of the players haven't been vetted yet.

But OP clearly states two mafia which are confirmed as Fring and Salamanca. Also mentions "other win conditions may arise" which effectively confirms an Indy role. That you mention a "group" is odd in that context.

I wouldn't trust anyone's reads on the whole set of players for exactly this reason. Look at the hit rate on the maf leans. The fact that GaT was that wrong actually makes him look cleaner in my eyes.

Not my proudest moment. But i'll defend the logic of how i got to those reads.
