2020 Presidential Election: Biden v. Trump

Since you seem to be really hung up on this, I suggested that your demeaning of Lindsey Graham for potentially being gay was homophobic. I think we can be anti-Trump and McConnell without making jokes about them being gay for Putin.

Pete Butt may not be a PC nickname if you personally read homophobia into it, I just see it as a kindergarten play on his name. Straight people do butt stuff too! Sorta telling on yourself a little.

Anyway, I think Pete Butt is funny but not gay conversion therapy jokes so I am either really immature or a hypocrite, take your pick.

Joe Biden is proposing to raise capital gains taxes but yet again moderate Democrats are just like Republicans.
 
What's the rationale for cutting capital gains taxes, even in the short term for recovery purposes? If you're selling something that requires you to pay long-term capital gains, you're already getting a cash infusion from that sale. If you're incurring short term capital gains taxes, theoretically you had that chunk of change within the last year to start with

Maybe I'm missing some huge category of need for why this would be remotely worthwhile besides just another tax cut for people who already have wealth accrued.
 
I'm just not in favor at large of continuing to increase the difference between income tax rate and capital gains rate because of the incentives involved towards shifting compensation/wealth towards these "tax havens".

But even this is a different argument than why we need to cut capital gains taxes during a recovery period.

The main difference between Abrams and Harris’ careers is their states. Abrams ran against a Republican voter suppression machine. Harris barely had to run against Republicans.
