Not sure what your point is. MDMH asked if something was weird. I thought it was. He was cool with it. It’s like the one thing we haven’t fought about.

Additional point about Indian food though. Good Indian food has a much more complex flavor profile than you can typically duplicate at home especially if you don’t have Indian spices.

Check out Asian markets if there’s one near you. They’re confusing as hell but if you know what you’re looking for you can get some good pantry staples for cheap that should last you half a year.
 
I may have posted this at some point before, but it is total horseshit that the good guys in Harry Potter can only use disarming/stunning spells while the bad guys can kill, torture, maim, etc. Would be like if the Allies could have only used rubber bullets against the Nazis. Dumb.

in addition to all sorts of deception/illusion spells. the good guys are total punks
 
I actually thought about this earlier, my wife got me into binging old Top Chef seasons and I have no idea how every chef on that show isn't like 400 lbs. They must hate eating.

So that's why I'm not a gourmet chef, the lack of self control.

True and the show would be more interesting if they didn't whitewash the cig and cocaine usage

Another thing I've noticed is just how bad the first couple of seasons were. And maybe it was just the early 2000's but holy shit were the people on the early seasons physically and emotionally unattractive. Way too may of them just flat out sucked. Probably didn't help that the producers tried to make the show far more adversarial than it is now.
 
yeah they haven't had a true villain in ages. everyone now pretty much gets along and actively supports one another.

Generally when I cook a large meal for guests I have no interest in eating by the time it’s served.
 
Yea, it is my impression that drug use is highly prevalent in the food service industry.

I worked at the Bennigan’s by campus in Winston when I was at Wake and it was under new management after the prior manager was arrested for selling drugs out of the kitchen.
 
Getting out of the industry was the best possible thing for my BIL’s sobriety. He said he pretty much took anything when he worked there. Now he just does pot in various forms but whatever.
