Serious taek: I don't really see how this is good news for the end consumer?
-Exclusivity is bad, and while it doesn't sound like Bethesda's publicly committing to that either way yet, I'd bet on at least timed exclusivity for major releases. Maybe I'm too cynical, but I don't think it's a coincidence that this news is dropping a week before next gen Xbox preorders go on sale, either, and that timing is CONCERNING.
-Ask Rare and Blizzard (and, for that matter, Bungie) how adding another layer of bureaucracy to their studios went. Maybe Bethesda will be different (they're certainly *bigger* than either of those studios were at the time of their sales/mergers/buyouts/whatever), but these sorts of deals don't exactly have good track records. I can't imagine Microsoft is going to be hands-off with their brand new $7.5BB investment, either.
GamePass is pretty easily the best deal in videogames now, though, and this is a huge feather in Xbox's cap. I just don't think it should be, uh, celebrated from a consumer/gamer perspective.
