Official Election Month Thread: COUP falls short, nothing to see here

The CNN hosts are such a joke. “It could be a tipping point. Depending on how it goes.” Wtf

Who knew the data were flawed? It's not like the variance among polls were massive and indicated that polls were missing some un measured bias and variance. dozens of polls said Biden was a head in FL and all of them were wrong, apparently. What is a predictive modeler to do? Make predictions on a gut feeling that the data are wrong?

Uh, anyone who paid attention in 2016 knew that the data were flawed. And Silver didn’t appropriately account for those flaws in 2020. Hence, a worthless model.

Very disappointing night in NC

I like Pete too and hope that he has a bright future, but if people in these swing states wouldn't vote for a traditional centrist Democrat like Biden, I just don't see them voting for a very young gay pol who hasn't done more than serve as the mayor of a medium-sized Midwestern city. And again, I don't see any Trump voter switching to Pete.

I would have voted for the veteran over the incumbent.

I'm calling it- Biden will win AZ, WI, MI, and NE CD2; Trump wins PA. Biden wins 270-268

Also can't wait for whatever smarmy article Nate Silver rights about how he wasn't technically wrong again.

So with Arizona going to Biden a combination of Hawaii, Nevada, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Maine will do it. That doesn't seem like a terribly outrageous route given what is currently happening - and he'd still have Pennsylvania as a backup.

Also like what I'm seeing along the southern WI border in MN. Biden generally going +5 to +7 on what Clinton did although votes are about 70% in now. But maybe promising for crossing the river and doing better than last time.

Still possible, yeah. NE-2 looks like it is going to Biden as well. Iowa going away, though. Would have been interesting if that were Blue.

And HI should be a lock and MN should already be called.

I really don’t understand some of the Hispanic vote. Like I understand the Cuban, Venezuelan Florida vote but some of the border counties in Texas, I.e Mexican Hispanic descent. Is it because the racism wasn’t front and center this campaign, like you just aligned yourself with a party that really really hates you. Is it the religious thing?

Has someone who isn't foxnews or Deacman called AZ for Biden yet? I think I can go to sleep when that happens.

He's been hedging big the last few days talking about how 10% still meant there is a decent chance. I think he was even scared of his models and a huge polling error. Though he was talking a bit of shit on twitter towards the Trafalgar polls that had a hidden trump vote built in. I like Nate's site, but I think he was scared about this exact thing occurring.
