CT CCXLV - Where TK reimagines Tom Sizemore as a woman

Nobody ever uses the golf thread anymore so here you go, CT: Walked 9 early this morning. Pretty boring but decent start - 1 over through 7 holes. On 8 (505 yards) I hit Driver - 6 iron, and 2 putted for birdie. Driver- gap wedge to a foot on 9 for birdie - 420 yards. Feeling pretty good and not too hot yet, so my buddy and I decided to play 4 more back to the clubhouse - cool loop of 3 par 5s and the signature par 3.

On 10 (522 yards), hit driver - 7 iron to less than 2 feet (lipped out) for a tap in eagle. Two putt par on par 3 11th. Hit a tough 40 yard pitch shot on 12 (another par 5) to a foot for a tap in birdie. And then Driver - 4 iron on 566 yard last hole to 10 feet and missed the eagle. Don't think I've ever played 6 holes 6 under par before, and probably never will again - pretty rare to play 4 out of 6 holes as par 5s. Was really tempted to keep going, but had a couple work meetings and now don't have to worry about tanking my handicap. Pretty exciting hour stretch on a Tuesday morning.
whoa nicely done, I’ve never had an ‘in the zone’ stretch like that

playing olde sycamore next month then that’ll probably be it for me for the year

Stayed home with the 5 year old today since kindergarten is doing staggered start this week. Hiked a mile each way to a swimming hole on the Eno with him and hung out on the river banks for about an hour and a half. Glorious morning.
same Re: staggered start - went fishing with my daughter and it was great. basically I catch a fish then I put the fish on her rod so she can reel it in. not quite to the point where she fishes independently.

This is so great from LSU board:

“ WELL THAT'S EIGHT SEATS THAT WILL BE USED FOR THE PIGEONS ON MY END. I REFUSE TO SELL THEM OR GO. Don't need the money.... This is what happens when you got a LIBERAL GOV.... Will this change next year when we have Delta Variant #77.......GOOD LUCK”

What goes through people's mind when they type an entire short message in the subject of an email and leave the rest blank?

LOL. Do they think we’ll go through the Greek alphabet 76 more times?

Thx for the replies about all electric cars.

Definitely getting curious about these. I crank up some version of a V8 to go 1-2 mile commute. Really kind of nuts on several levels.

Been thinking for some time to get some little car for driving around town. Electric only recently figuring into my thoughts. Don’t really need anything for any distance or highway driving.

Actually considering a electric Mini Cooper. They are relatively cheap, still offer full tax credit incentives, etc. poor range compared to most other EVs, but I’d be able to go at least a week between charges with my little commute and running around.

I like the idea of zero local emissions, but yes it’s unclear to me it’s overall the environmental solution we need.

I mean if you're gonna go electric, you might as well go with the Plaid and just go 0 to 60 in 1.9 seconds.

I like it when it’s done effectively
Today I sent a vote email with no body and a subject ‘please vote for X’
Any more than one sentence or 15 words in the subject and you’re doing it wrong

Bro I am about to move the 3yo out into the tool shed
