MBB Game 19: WF at GT - Wednesday Jan 19 7 pm - ESPNU

Wellman was such a jackass but I digress, Thank you Currie

Right after Forbes was hired I did hear an interview with Savage when he was brought in and was very impressed. He did well tonight coaching

Which achilles did Monsanto tear? To be sure it wasn’t in his primary jumping leg. I can’t even fathom being able to spend 6 months rehabbing, then get out there without missing a beat and with 100% confidence, launching 3s and skying for rebounds. Ya love to see it. Go science!

Still can’t get over Monsanto’s athleticism and court awareness. Can’t teach those things. He’s going to be a good one.

Monsanto is awesome. This is the scorer we have needed! Forbes is obviously awesome. Currie is basically a God. He is everything that Wellman was not and everything we needed.

Random thoughts from a dude that was there:

Marsh has a sweet outside shot. He was raining 3s in warmups.

Monsanto is a really good player. Rebounding, defense, and shooting… He clearly understands how Forbes wants to play, as well.

Williamson is good. Not sure about the hate. We don’t have a capable PG this year, but everything should run through Alondis anyway. Williamson is now statistically our best 3pt shooter (unless Monsanto’s 2-5 qualifies).

Too many turnovers from Jake and Alondis… BUT they also each had 9 assists.

Rough game for Sy tonight.

Not sure why GT abandoned the 1-3-1 they were playing. It definitely slowed down our offense and caused us to settle for 3s when they could get it set up. When they went exclusively man at the end, we smoked them. We also scored easily when we ran and they couldn’t set up the zone.

Great win. So glad to get a decisive result @ GT. They are terrible (aside from Devoe) and it had been far too long.

We have 3 ACC road wins in 5 games. Considering the last decade, that is outright amazing. Forbes has just done a flat out outstanding job in rebuilding this team and doing it quicker than even the most optimistic of us thought was possible.

I’m not even going to try to remember the last time we had two players with 9 assists.

Also takes balls as the assistant coach to give Monsanto the run he gave him.

Love our vibes
