Best night at the Joel in more than a decade. Forbes and Currie have just done a phenomenal job in getting this program back on the rails.

Checked out NBA Draft.net and Alondes is at 55 while Wendell Moore is like 22, what a joke

[Redacted] actually only coached 4 years, but really only took two years to sink the program to the abyss. Wellman made sure we stayed there with the Manning hire. I could see Hubert getting three years and with a questionable hire after that, boom they suck for a decade and top state talent all wants to play for Forbes.
 
In general, I want UNC, Duke, etc. to be very good.

Just for Wake to be better.

Nah, I thought that was the best part. If Forbes can get a post player who plays below the rim to put up 31 and 10 on UNC by coaching him on how to play if he wants to be a pro, then do that every fucking day with every player. The transfer portal / free agency, the NIL money, social media hype, that is how the game will be going forward. I'd much rather Forbes embrace that than be stuck in an outdated mindset yearning for yesteryear. If he can get these kids to treat their experience as job training, then go for it.
 
Hubert calling it a talent gap keeping his team from being able to respond to runs. Wow.
 
Says his team doesn’t have the talent or athleticism to break down our defense. Wonder how his players feel about that.
 
That comment about how in the NBA he'd be perfect position but Jordan, Kobe, and Iverson were just better players was straight out of the Manning postgame excuses playbook.

Usually a coach waits a little longer to completely throw his players under the bus like that. Who knew poor UNC can only get slow, non-athletic, unskilled players to sign up? "They switched all ball screens, one through five, and nobody on our team could get by any of their players."

That's gotta sting. Also "we weren't getting much from our starter early" yet they were up two points 7 minutes in despite no scouting report like, uh, maybe be ready to switch Manek off LaRavia instead of giving him like 6 consecutive buckets.

Closes the presser by saying the top 3 at Miami and Wake are more talented than anyone UNC has on their roster and it's not close. WOW. I'm sure the kids are fired up to get back to practice!
