Syracuse is not a good defensive team. That hasn’t changed. WF did a shitty job attacking a mediocre defense, and a worse than shitty job defending against Syracuse.

Clearly, the team was humbled, the coach was humbled and a significant portion of our fan base was humbled tonight.
Those that said Williamson and Monsanto would make a difference were right as they scored 37 of our 72 points. Only player from the first game to really contribute at the same level was Walton with 8 (had 9 in first game).
Williams and LaRavia had 37 in the first game, 13 tonight. Alondes (I can score when I want) and Jake (playing BC is like the NBA) might not as well have been out there tonight.
LaRavia's game was perplexing. He continuously received the ball deep in the paint but continued to pass out of it. Completely opposite of the UNC game where he challenged the inside almost every time he touched the ball.
Mucius, took 8 shots, all 3's. in the two games he is 6 for 22. And if he wants to be the defensive stopper, well, maybe he could have tried to slow up buddy.
Just imagine if Davien and Damari hadn't showe up for this game, they were 9 for 14 from 3. The rest of the team was 2-13.
Maybe there was nothing Forbes (at some point the team coaches itself) could do, but it took Davien laying on his back to get him really on the officials. We got mauled inside all night, if you want to let it happen, then be a nice guy, if not get on the refs back.
And let's remember we had 4 full days to prepare for this embarrassment. Not sure what we practiced. Gave up 55 in the second half.
Needless to say our passing was horrendous tonight.
Not the end of the world. Road games in the ACC are hard, but would have expected a more competitive game. Way to early to put us in the NCAAT based on this performance. Better take care of business against Pitt

Offense didn't execute. Too many bad shots. Too many turnovers.
Would have liked LaRavia at least attempt to power the ball to the rim a few times. Results couldn't be any worse.

I take no joy, but a lot of our fan base thought we'd just go up there and romp. Learn your lessons from history.
As for you learn who the players are if you want to post about them. Kind of inane to ask who is such and such in game 22. If your don't care fine, but think before you post .

We are 2-11 against 'cuse all time. The zone killed a Prosser led team with JoHo on it. It doesn't really matter what I think or anyone on this board thinks, but many tried to warn that you just don't roll over 'cuse and their zone. How Williams and LaRavia only score 13 is perplexing. They were 5-17 from the floor, how they only take 17 shots is a mystery.
