Dude, there are always more birds to see. It's peak warbler and shorebird migration season. Get out there and start a life list!

Got my tickets for Top Gun on Sunday. Critical reviews have been super strong. Unbelievably pumped.
 
I don't see what the big deal is...

My grandfather, for years, tried to get me like the Red Sox, hate the Krauts, and own a construction business.

I like the Toronto Blue Jays, have no hostility toward the Germans, and work in finance.

Great man, though.

Hmmm, I know quite a few people that have been to Santorini, including us, and this is the first time I have ever heard anyone say it was over-rated? I mean the hike down the stairs where people ride the donkeys up was the only thing on that trip that was overrated - and that was just because there was donkey crap everywhere... Everything else about the place was awesome...

Oia is awesome. The problem is a lot of cruises aren't there long enough to let people go over and really enjoy it. Most people only see Thera, because where the cruise port is now.

I liked Corfu because it felt like a combination of a bunch of different cultures, and was different than southern Greece. I can't imagine making a whole trip out of it though.

I haven't been there in about ten years but I remember two "oddly" named places that were good- One was something like Tequila or La Tequila. Another was basically storefront taqueria with Tomato (Tomate) in name.
 
santorini is sandy and windy with some beautiful views. Up close it is an arid tourist trap. Everyone on our cruise felt like it had been WAY over sold by the photos that you see.
 
maybe I don't know what I'm missing but Greece well below a lot of other European countries among those I've never been to

Interesting - my mom (prob not much older than your ancient ass) says it's one of her favorite (and most beautiful) places on earth, and she's traveled an absurd amount. Glad we'll be there on a Wednesday. Seems like Mykanos on a summer Sunday could/will be quite touristy.
