Official 2022-23 College Basketball Thread: UCONN - One Shining Moment

Yeah. I didn't say they were recent transfers just transfers.

Just clarifying, as it's not like they just brought in a whole new team this year.

The original point I was trying to make was they played 9 seniors... It's rare to even have that many seniors on a roster. It's crazy at a place like Memphis, which usually recruits HS well.

Coppin State only down 2 @ Georgetown at the half.

This is interesting because Coppin State lost by 23 LAST NIGHT in Charlotte.

Georgetown with their first win in 328 days vs Coppin State in overtime. Georgetown is an embarrassing program. Hateable punk players who were chirping and showing up Coppin all night. Will enjoy seeing them get their shit packed this year.

Yeah, we might not even get that game against Georgetown. They could easily lose to Loyola Marymount.

Either way, the Jamaica Classic will mean 2 games for us against teams that are somewhere in the #100-150 range of KP. Neither one of those games will help us with Quad 1 (or Quad 2) wins.

Thanks, Manning.

3 games - Utah Valley State, 17-point losers to Utah State, #132 in KP and coached by Mark Madsen, is also a Jamaica Classic game even though it is played in LJVMC

Sure would be nice if we had someone who is knowledgeable about Philly basketball on this thread.

How long has Louisville had a dunking cardinal wearing a sweater at center court? It's more of an eyesore than the Mannequin on the sideline.

How did I not know Manning was with Louisville. That makes last nights loss even better!

Mack-Dino was hysterical.

Man, I wish we would have not looked so awful in FB this year against them.

I mean stealing playbooks from WFU, extortion, lying, Pitino, Petrino...now they've hired clueless Manning - what a great upstanding member of the ACC.

And...after losing to Bellarmine, Louisville HC Kenny Payne claims Bellarmine is a good passing team and "not that athletic" -- nice.

I love piling on lame ass Louisville.

They were down 32-18 in the first half to Bellarmine and could not even inbound the ball.

I can just imagine Manning nudging Payne over and over throughout the game...

"Gotta get some paint touches, Kenny!"

"They aren't guarding their damn man, Kenny!"

"Kenny... Not gonna get to cut down nets with a performance like this!"

and so on.

"Some Wake Forest fans wondered if Haas' decision was affected by the rampant negativity about the program on social media and message boards. Watkins didn't deny that it was a factor.

"I think there's so much out there for a kid now," he said. "I know the social media part of it is huge with them. I don't know how much of a role it played in this, to be quite honest, but I do know that it played a role- I don't know how much. Most kids now, they're a lot more savvy when it comes to social media than we are. It is what it is."

We helped avoid a community outbreak. Well done lads.
