Why are you calling me stupid? What does this have to do do with 12 turnovers? Who cares what the odds were? Did your computer predict Apple by would have 12 turnovers?
 
This game went almost exactly how I expected it to go—Miami is older, stronger, and bigger at the guard spots than we are. Dawned on me that things were turning out almost exactly like the game at U*NC went. We were scoring fine, but defended poorly, and they converted almost every one of our turnovers into points.

I have no idea what was wrong with Appleby, though. Those turnovers were truly head scratchers. Like, I am dumbfounded by almost every single one of them.

These guys keep fighting, though. I really like that about them.

Do you watch college basketball these days? There are numerous programs who turn things around from year to year. This team's problem the last two years has not been talent. I'm not expecting them to win the ACC but they lose far more games than they should and that ends up in missing the tournament.

Backup point guard Jao Ituka out for the season and played too little to count. Appleby just out of gas.

Because we aren't benching the top point guard in the league even with 12 turnovers since we don't have a backup point guard and one of the other 2 rotation guys who could be in was on the bench the entire second half with 4 fouls after a dumb technical. Bad games happen and you take the bad with the good especially with no depth. There was nobody else to put in.

Agreed. Look at State. They were atrocious last year.
 
forbes is fine. he's not even close to the hot seat or anything, i mean who would we hire anyway.

the transfer portal stuff is phenomenal and this game shouldnt be a must win, but shouldnt lose against BC in the tourney last year and shouldnt lose those 4 in a row to put us behind the 8 ball this season

This is a great point. If you take out Appleby and Monsanto has 4 fouls, who is playing?

Hildreth at PG
Williamson at SG
Klintmann at SF (also in foul trouble)
Carr at PF
Marsh at C

That lineup is not going to score enough points or play enough defense to stop Miami. And we got really good Williamson today.

I wish we had more guard depth. I'm sure Forbes does too.
 
Didn’t get to see it, the result was exactly what I was expecting.

Are we sure beating State is enough, assuming we win the 3 after that + ACCT one game?

now you are being stupid. You tout that the computer was pretty close to predicting the result but then concede a 1 in 10k event. whatever. I get that he is our best option at point guard but he was not today. We had no chance because of his turnovers. A coach gets paid to make adjustments to give the team a chance to win the game being played. If that means benching your best player after 6-7 turnovers, so be it.
 
I'm not "fire Forbes". I'm "he needs to fucking get control of his team so they don't have multiple mental meltdowns every game." It's been a concerning pattern each of the last two seasons.
