Started posting when I was around 16. Definitely could not hang. Almost didn't get into MSD because of a post I made that somehow made it's way to admissions and they matched my boards name to my application. Think someone narced.

I'll be 35 tomorrow.

Also, why isn't this public?!

I think we need more details about this.

Whoa. Can you share more? That's crazy. Did one of the cagles turn you in?

I started following the boards in the late 1990's. It was a lifeline for a Deacon sports fan living in NJ.

I posted that I had been waitlisted and that it was "gay". Maybe I said "effing gay". One of the mods (maybe Chrispy, was he a mod, is he/are you here?!) PM'd me suggesting I take it down and saying that admissions read the old boards, but it was too late. Ended up talking to the witch Martha Allman herself at some point and apologized for my immaturity. Had made my peace and was all set to go to Furman, but got in off the waitlist after HS graduation and the rest is history.

ETA: I guess Wake was pretty woke for 2005.

It seems from social media we stopped requiring applicants to send in their pictures, when did that stop?

We really need Knight here to opine on how gay this is

I didn't give my Wake Forest online creds in earlier post. In short - the beginning - rsbc (rec.sports.basketball.college). Ask your grandpa about Usenet.

Yeah. I checked that before the boards started. I went on the AOL groups on my parents' account when I was back home.

As stalker-ish as it may sound, I actually remember your old AOL account name. I won't mention it because it's pretty doxxy (though I'm sure 99.9% of posters can identify you by name by now).

I don't even remember the old account name and I didn't know anybody could link it to ol' GraduatinDeac.
