Started posting my first semester of law school when it was 22.
I turn 40 this year.
I turn 40 this year.
And they said nothing good could come of those!I’m 44 and only discovered the boards because of the #firebuzz news paper adds in 2013.
One of the few older than me on here.I go back to the early AOL days and am 73.
I believe he is at least 10 years younger than me.One of the few older than me on here.
We probably both had Wake time with the owner of Rancho da Nada.
That wasn't a message board. Well, maybe my private message board to blare out to whoever would listen. It covered the 97 and 98 seasons, so Summer 96 to, I dunno, Summer 98.Where in the Wake internet timeline was TDDD?
Thanks for responding. I didn't want to put you on the spot. That wasn't a message board. Well, maybe my private message board to blare out to whoever would listen. It covered the 97 and 98 seasons, so Summer 96 to, I dunno, Summer 98.
Yes, YAWSPU stood for "Yet Another Wake Sports Page (Unofficial)". This was from a gent whose AOL handle was Ballen03. H/t to you if you're out there. DeacMan had a page as well, I think he almost exclusively covered recruiting, or at least that was a heavy focus. Right around 2000ish those pages ended when Rancho started and Wake Forest created an official page in earnest. I'm not drawing a cause and effect there, that's just my recollection of events.Wasn't there also YASPWU or something like that? It stood for "Yet Another" something Wake something.
I remember the last story was Wake losing in the NIT to a Xavier team coached by some guy named Skip Prosser.
I migrated over here from the Rulz board.
Not sure if it is legit or bullshit, but your story of how IaT came about is an all time classic.Don’t remember which board I started in. I think ACCboards (that’s the first I remember), but could have been an iteration before that.
Started posting in 95 or 96 in high school, I think first as PalmettoDeac (there’s another one now). Changed to IaT in 2002/2003.
