NIT bubble watch

Ouch.

I don't follow this stuff as closely as some on here, but that seems hard to believe.

Bummed that I won't see Tyree play again in a Wake uniform.

Sucks and worried that Forbes will get tired of Wake getting overlooked and bolt for a new gig.

I think we do play if they get a chance. Why turn down more games for these players to get better. It's basically like a preseason tournament anyway all in the same arena looks like in fla.

I wanted the NIT but playing in a tournament where all you need to do is write a check to get in adds no value.

Very LOWF take.

... what is the open market value on a coach with a sub-.500 conference record at his current school with a career 0-1 record in the NCAA tournament?

Currie….this is on you! I’d be blowing up someone’s phone in that NIT room and let them know how bad of a fuck up they are. There has to be ADs around the country who want to unite to end computers deciding young men’s fate.

Have y’all forgotten that we lost our #2 scorer who is a 40% 3-point shooter? If you were being objective, wouldn’t you take that into account ?

Yes, but that wasn’t a factor for a few other teams dealing with a similar injury issue.

I don’t think the NIT includes any at-large teams who were below us in the NET ratings. That is what matters, not any adjustment for Monsanto’s injury.

So we know we need to improve the NET performance next year (and the goal is obviously the NCAA tournament, not the NIT).
