No issue with someone that enjoys mushrooms on pizza. My wife loves em. I just take exception to them being labeled as the objectively best pizza topping.
 
Some of these pizza topping combination makes it easy to see how Mako dislikes pizza.

I was out #winning trivia again tonight but I'm very pleased to see Mt. Olive has begun posting, was really looking forward to him jumping into the fray on the pickle discussion when I saw that username register right after Barca trash-talked Mt Olive brand pickles, was even secretly hoping it was a Mt Olive company representative or something, but since he's from there that's a good enough origin story :thatsright:

I wonder if it’s like how cilantro tastes like soap to some people but I get zero umami from mushrooms — they just taste like they’re an old version of a good vegetable to me

I am an umami seeker and love Parmesan and soy sauce and tomatoes but never once experienced it from mushrooms

At our very very nice dinner the other night they asked about dietary restrictions and we said none. First dish was a couple of preparations of shashimi that had cilantro on them.

I get umami from certain mushrooms but not all. I don’t think you’re going to get it from your basic white mushroom.
 
My go to at the local spot is a small cheese pizza. My guilty pleasure is a thin crust pepperoni from Pizza Hut.

I love mushrooms but they don’t do much for me on pizza. It’s like they get hidden.
