CTPh Bored new baby dad Kenpoms fun and money

Phone call from our realtor: Hey, they are waiting for another offer, they have a couple really strong offers, but if you guys go the very top of your escalation they will pick your offer now.
Me: Isn't the escalation in case we get in a bidding war, right now it feels like we are just bidding against ourselves?
Realtor: Yes, but this is what happens sometimes. If you say no, then they will probably just go to the next offer and ask the same thing.

This seems bs to me. I feel like our escalation was so much higher than everyone else's number they are trying to get it anyways. So we said, here is a number lower, still way above asking. if they like us that much they, will they ratify at this. Otherwise we are happy to see how this plays out.

Does it already have a slip for the sailboat or will you need to factor in adding one to the total cost?

What you got under review?

I only have one thing under review right now, a massive 10 year grant proposal with Marine Sciences that would lead to creating a research team to conduct community engaged environmental sociology research, kind of a “socio-oceanography.” It’s an exciting prospect that would fund me, five colleagues, and two full-time students.

I haven’t submitted a paper in awhile. Been slow going on my current paper and I gave up on a paper that got rejected four times on STEM student perspectives on international faculty and TAs and their accents.

Going up for full is going well so far. I put together a list of 15 reviewers. Only two got rejected (one was BS) and my chair found three already. I already wrote my research narrative and it looks good. I guess I have two things under review, that grant proposal and me.
dissertation paper, collab from hell, and something from the new job

i have to get some stuff under review by the time the job market starts up again in a few months, but an R&R on one of those would be icing on the cake

good luck on going up for full. i feel like it's a no brainer given what i know about your career, but i understand why you gotta go through the motions

Partying has nothing to do with substance abuse and everything to do with vibes. However if you lack vibes you can make up for it with substance abuse. Dissociating regularly is a plus. Having a big dong or having a tiny dong but BDE. That’s all partying, to me.

My wife and I binging season 5 of Amazing Race on the couch together this week while passing a baby back and forth and ordering a bunch of Postmates is like 4/10 on the party scale.
Some people have a hard time explaining vibes. I don't think anyone can really explain vibe. Maybe Townie, but, that's okay. Vibes is a lifestyle and a way of thinking and it's not about money and popularity. Although, some money would be nice. But it's a voice that says, "Here I am - and fuck you if you can't understand me." And one of these people is gonna save the world. And that means that vibes can save the world - all of us together. And the chicks are great. But, what it all comes down to is that thing. The indefinable thing when people catch something from your vibe. What I'm talking about is - hey, what am I talking about? Vibes. And the chicks! And whatever is an offshoot of those vibes. Like, you say you like, mako. THAT is fucking vibes!

They have come down, and we have moved up. Lets see what round 2 brings us.

I feel like my personal life is such a driver of the boards. My life is either very dramatic or I am just alot more open about all this stuff.

I have already said previously that the sailboat is free to whoever wants to go to NH and get it.

Could never be me for like a thousand different reasons but I’ve always been fascinated by people who deliver sailboats all over the world for a living. We did a 3 night sailing thing down in Charleston and the captain had done a bunch of that work. He had some crazy stories.
