Saudi World Golf Tour 2022/2023 Thread

There’s almost no change the PGA was losing that lawsuit. The allegations were poorly pled and wasn’t this the same suit the PGA won a TRO/PI in?

I may be one of the few people who actually likes the team concept in theory - if they can make it like F1 in some sense.

So, the Saudis now own Formula 1, professional golf, and a decent foothold in professional soccer.

I'm not kidding when I wonder if they will make a run for football here in the US next.
Didn't they recently buy into the WWE too?

It’s just all about the $$$. Not any litigation leverage

Of course it's about money. The fact that the Saudi's will chair the new entity tells us they basically bought the entire world of professional golf.

If the Monday Night Wars parallels between PGA-LIV continue, I look forward to seeing how the Invasion storyline plays out. Who is the Shane O Mack in this scenario?

I would like to know what Justin Thomas is thinking. Not what he will say, but what he is thinking. And Tiger

How much you want to bet the chirping about the validity of the OWGR goes away now too?

He is probably thinking he turned down a 9 figure payday while guys like DJ and Brooks took one and get to come back.

Looking for the same outrage at the PGA that was thrown at the players for taking the bag. It won't happen tho.
