@WindyCityDeac how do you feel about the vest over the polo look in the office. The tucked in polo shows that I have skimped on working out over the last couple years, but the vest at least hides the fabric stretched taut across my abdomen.
I'm anti-vest with short sleeves. there is an aesthetic balance problem that I can't get around.

on my Japan trip I did the onsen where you go hot water to dry heat sauna (listed at 85 degrees celsius!) to the cold pool (only like 60 degrees fareinheit, but feels very cold out of the sauna)

a circuit through that had me feeling good for a few hours

DC is big time vest culture

Pair it with a gingham shirt, khakis, Apple Watch, that’s the uniform

Is it hubris for me to assume that there is a problem with my resume that is causing me to not even get consideration for these administrative jobs that I feel I am
overqualified for? Answering phones and doing data entry in a fucking apartment leasing office for $20 an hour should be a fucking layup with my job history and skills but I’m not even getting a call back for those positions.

I have my eBay store listed on my resume to show that I am a self starter and have ongoing sales and computer experience, but I worry that is confusing these hiring managers or something.

Maybe they see that you're overqualified and fear you would bounce at any better opportunity if they hired you?

Feels like a rock and a hard place, I just need a job that pays the bills.
I feel ya! My wife would always keep a few different resumes updated based on the type of job she would apply for. Maybe try scaling back your qualifications for the more "remedial" positions you're applying for?

To be honest my current resume isn’t super expansive or impressive- I have been aiming for these administrative/sales/coordinator type rolls that involve customer service, data entry, project management, answering phones, taking orders, etc. and my resume skills section highlights my experience doing exactly those things.
