Christ, made it like a month…why commit? I think they can find a replacement.

That seems more like buyers remorse than the Barrett decision. Barrett seems like he was waiting on someone else and didn’t think it would come…until it did a month later.

But what do I know, nothing!

Que up coming to America - whenever we talk boxing, white guy always gotta bring up Rocky Marciano....hear ya on Dortch; he was a really nice player and clearly the exception. Kevin Marion was very good too. Not enough time to go through all the long shots we took that were small and didnt pan out. If he doesnt want to be here, good riddance. Give me the scholly back and let's go find a better player who wants to be here.

You are right, sometimes they don't pan out, but we've had several that have.

Greg Dortch (Pro,) Tabari Hines, Kevin Johnson (Pro) Michael Campanaro (Pro,) Brandon Ghee (Pro,) Alphonso Smith (Pro,) Willie Idlette, to name a few. All very small when they arrived.

Some got bigger/stronger, others stayed smaller, but all big producers for the Deacs. Don't be so quick to write off the little guy.

Rocky Marciano reference, not even comparable . . .
 
Y'all realize that Rocky Marciano was the World Heavyweight Champion, right ?
 
Fair enough. i know there were several guys on the smaller side who made meaningful contributions. Won't getting into who on that list was closer to 160 vs a legit-sized 180, but Kevin Johnson was certainly rail thin and was a very good player. Guess i am jaded b/c we gave the kid to chance to play a unique position where his size doesnt hurt him b/c we don't ask that slot to block and he is walking away from us. Playing the odds that we can find a better (maybe bigger) player in the long-run.
 
The QB commit Hewlett has a strong offer list for a co’25 recruit - no idea how many of those were actually commitable - TAMU, Miami, Iowa State, Illinois, Cincy, Arizona
 
That Hines commit is exciting. Great offer list, massive kid.
