Wake also has a track record of doing exactly that. Also, getting guys like that from 3* to fringe NFL.It's not that hard to say a 6-6/180 kid with good high school basketball stats could develop into P5 WR. But a program has to have the patience, experience, and confidence to use that scholarship. Wake does.
Wake got a lot of commits early. Rankings are based on total stars of all committed recruits.I've been following as I can. Are we seriously in the top15 for the 2024 recruiting classes? I defer to those who follow much more closely than I have.
"The stableness in the coaching staff," Hewlett said. "Their ability and success of producing quarterbacks. The success in the offense, definitely one of the most consistent offenses in the ACC. The facilities are amazing. I don't think a lot of people realize that. The facilities are as good as anywhere in the country. It's a beautiful campus. They don't lie to you in recruiting. A lot of schools lie to you in recruiting. Wake Forest is genuine. I love the coaching staff."
"It's super exciting," Hewlett said. "They definitely make me feel confident in going there. The teamwork they've done with quarterbacks the last five, six years was amazing. What they did with Sam Hartman was great. John Wolford as well. They've completely took Wake Forest and turned them into an amazing team every single year, a Top 25 team and they've only gotten better and upgraded the facilities."
Hewlett loves the culture as well.
"They had the second fewest people enter the transfer portal which shows how happy people are being at the school and on the football team, Hewlett said.
