2023 Carolina Panthers thread - HOF Julius Peppers

I gotta admit to enjoying that 4th quarter immensely. Nebraska had that game in hand, and Minnesota's offense couldn't do anything. Then Nebraska fumbles at midfield with 5:00 left, then a 15 yard face mask and then 1 of the better WR toe aps you'll see for a TD. Okay, still looks like you'll win because you're driving to midfield, then the pick and the game winning field goal at the buzzer. And that Minnesota offense ain't near what it was 2-3 years ago. Nebraska football might not out draw women's volleyball all season. Gotta love it.
I fucking wish Rhule the worst. He's an ass, hope Karma comes his way.

I didn't realize until that 4th quarter how much I had grown to dislike Rhule. Plus I hate Nebraska on general principal. If you don't hate Nebraska already, go back and watch that press conference of Tom Osborne where he explained his reinstating Lawrence Phillips after he grabbed his girlfriend's hair and threw her down the stairs (and I think Nebraska pulled her ship when she reported the incident).

Yeah, I'm ambivalent about Rhule, but he obviously sucks.

I absolutely hate Nebraska. And that volleyball PR stunt that everyone thinks is so great is just some stupid ass bullshit.

LOL. Volleyball is a hoax!

It's just fucking stupid. I guess they saw some low hanging fruit in the Guinness Book of World Records and went for it.

Yeah, we know you have absolutely nothing else to do because you live in Nebraska and worship the Cornhuskers.

I used the last pick in my fantasy draft to take a flier on Mingo. Predictions on how that will work out?

Panthers are very high on Mingo. He has surprised to the upside. Word is he needs to get more separation and he's learning how to do that. But as accurate as Young is he can get the ball to Mingo and then the dude is GONE. They are putting him in routes that just get him the damn ball even if he's sitting down in the coverage. Better post catch then DJ Moore and can overpower hits. Will be a star I think.

i think we'll beat the falcons

they suck
WhoTF knows about the NFCS? Your OL play in preseason was downright scary. But what I really like about Young under pressure is he either got sacked or threw it away. Zero attempt at getting greedy or stupid - just took what's there. Atl has a really good OL, 2 good RBs, a good WR and TE, but I hate Ridder. If a team doesn't have a good run D, Atl will win games by running it down throats. TB's starting line-up on paper is pretty good, but they're a bit thin and are starting Baker at QB. I think these are 3 of the hardest teams to predict. Whereas I think NO could contend in the NFC. Their starters were taking it to KC's starters, and I don't think that is meaningless. The team has a huge chip on its shoulder over last season. The coach has a huge chip on his shoulder due to last season and comparisons to Payton. And Carr has a huge chip on his shoulder after last season's failure in Vegas under McNapoleon. NO was the perfect landing spot for a motivated Carr. Add to that, of all the probable playoff teams, they have by far the easiest schedule - they get 6 against the NFCS and 4 each against the AFCS and NFCN.

This was pretty long.
