Oh, you mean to tell me you are willing to bet $500 that Clemson won't run the table? You sir are an absolute maniac. Balls the size of watermelons. Where's the eye rolling emojiMy $500 bet still stands. Never saw a response.

that's not how that works. . . . if you credit Clemson for scoring on their various drives, it does not mean that Duke puts up the same amount of points. . . each score changes the dynamic of the game and the play calling for the other team. While Clemson stepped on their dicks all night, if they scored two TD’s when they were at the one and made both field goals, they still would’ve lost. And that’s after they were gifted a TD in the first half.
Bet he ends up at Florida or Michigan St, or another SEC/B1G school in a similar situation, soon. . . .Ummmm, if you follow Elko's resume, he is always ready to move on for a better gig. He's probably gone after this year.
Wake DC to Notre Dame DC to Texas A&M DC to Duke HC. His next stop is an SEC school as HC.
I don't like the instant eligibility transfer portal and I actually appreciate his staff to an extent, but the object is to compete and win games. The transfer portal is a reality and while recruiting well and developing players will remain important, equally as important is going to be bringing in players via the portal that address team needs each season. FSU looks like a completely different team compared to this time last year and look at Colorado. Unless, you're Georgia or Alabama and maybe a very few others that recruit so well that you're just reloading most positions with high quality recruits, most other teams success is going to be highly dependent on how well they use the portal to bring in players to address the needs each season. Can someone remind me why Dabo refuses to use the portal?
I believe those watermelons are all up in your vision....You stated we are waaaay overreacting and that Clemson is likely to "run the table". I have $500 that says they won't. Straight up. Take it or leave it.
Clemson is not good. I'd put $500 down for Wake to beat them this year. Making the trip up there for the game with my fiancé for this reason.Oh, you mean to tell me you are willing to bet $500 that Clemson won't run the table? You sir are an absolute maniac. fixed it for you, lolLook, we all get it that the ball bounces funny sometimes and the football gods can have a sense of humor. We are all just a little salty that Wake hasn't beaten Clemson since 2008. Despite being an excellent coach, Clawson is 0-8 against Clemson and also doesn't have a win against a team ranked in the top 10. We want ours. It's all fun when Clemson gets beat up, just not when Duke does it. DJU will probably get a shot in the NFL solely based on his tape AGAINST WFU last season, where scouts will point out it is possible despite all evidence to the contrary he can play like a 5-star player.
Just have to keep grinding. We will get our bounces too someday. Luck is where hard work and preparation meet or so I am told, my experience with that subject is limited.
its the horrible defense that im sure has held him back. . .Yeah I personally believe Clawson has never gotten an offer from the top echelon of college FB schools due to lack of .marquee wins and very poor defense under his regime minus the Elko years in addition to his failure as an OC at Tennessee.
He's a complete stud at Wake and has elevated our program to a whole other level. I'm sure he's gotten lateral job offers and wouldn't move for that but if Alabama or Notre Dame came knocking, he would absolutely move and he should
Taking Duke's ol' (foot)ball coach worked pretty well for Florida before.Bet he ends up at Florida or Michigan St, or another SEC/B1G school in a similar situation, soon. . . .
Exec compensation is something like 400-1. It was less than 20-1 in the 1960's.I wonder how that ratio aligns with executive compensation and benefits vs. wages at Fortune 500 companies.
How much does NIL change that? Let me be clear, I am not making an argument excusing how much coaches and administrators make on the backs of the student athletes. SAs do receive "benefits" and now pay beyond just scholarship and medical expenses so this seems intentionally misleading. Unfortunately, it may still not be that far off.

Oh good. Found it
