QB Going Forward

I’ll lose sleep over your opinion, for sure.

The cake is baked for the season. Clawson fucked up bigly. He won’t make the mistake of letting Mitch ruin our season next year. But I guess we’ll find out who’s right.
Your insomniatic reactions to my board postings are curious behavior. You have bad takes. Nobody will lose sleep over that.

Both of you have absolute trash takes... let's not measure who has the smallest here, Mel Tucker's attorney has that title

Well all I can say is Mitch is terrible. If he’s so much better then any other option not to give somebody else a shot today then that is woefully terrible.

Ugh. It's stalling because both the OL and the QB suck. Plain and simple. Both can be true at the same time. I really hate to see him saying shit like this, especially when he pretty much threw Griffis (justifiably) under the bus a few games ago.

tony siracusa actually pressed on griffis performance in the presser and clawson mildly defended his play before saying he needed to watch the film.
6/16 for 82 yards. 4 sacks as part of 11 rushes for 3 yards. I'm not sure what Clawson could see on film to defend that.

This doesn't jive with reality. You're defending Clawson for actions he's actively undermining you with.

No. I said Clawson fucked up. He did. Deciding that Griffis was the guy was clearly a terrible mistake. What I also said is that I trust Clawson enough not to make that same mistake going into next season. These are not mutually exclusive concepts.

I also understand not throwing Santino into the game in the second half inheriting a 27 point deficit. I wish he had started the game though and think that was another mistake, but it’s not the same mistake as spending an entire offseason planning for him to be the starter.

I don’t want to see Mitch play another down for Wake Forest. I’d rather give a true freshman some experience, especially since they can play 4 games and not burn a shirt.

Good point.

Ok. I forgive you. I read your post differently, as saying from both sides of your mouth that Clawson shouldn't start Griffis but that he also should and was neutered to alternatives and that next season posed little in teens of expectations for how the same QB room would play out.

Clawson's post game press conference:

Once we were down 3 scores with 10 minutes left we started playing for Duke game.

Did I hear that correctly? Nah. Or yes? If yes, that's not good.

Also, Mitch really had a bad first half going 1 for 8, but then in the third quarter he was 5 for 8. So, I guess that implies?

At the Ga Tech I focused on the WR. They were getting separation and Mitch was not seeing them. It’s still the same thing. Nothing has changed.
Yes to this. Throw ball, Morin plants and turns and catches pass, sine he was open. Instead, Mitch takes big sack.

According to Clawson, post game, the pocket collapsed. And Mitch missed a couple of throws today too.

Aw shucks. Dangit.
