If you want variety of food at your holiday party hire a good caterer and tell them what variety you want.

You also eliminate the social contract of trying everyone’s mediocre food and lying about how good it is

We had a guy at my company who was just a product manager but was married to a BIG LAW partner and let me tell you what his annual Christmas party (held at his place in SF) was truly something to behold. They must have easily dropped 30k on catering alone.
