like y'all realize that the "issue sets" that animate stand up comedy and that are transgressive change a ton over time, right?

lenny bruce, richard pryor, and george carlin faced like 10x the challenges that these dolts face

hell, even dave chappelle and chris rock used to be way more transgressive than they are now as they punch down at their former fans
 
Tbh I don’t consider taking out the trash and recycling a “chore” to be divvied up in ph’s question. Unless it’s hauling it to the dump or you have to handle raw garbage with your bare hands, it’s removing/replacing a plastic bag and rolling a bin or two 100 feet

had a weird call earlier for the senior bi dev req I've been trying to fill

my boss's peer, who is currently a senior level manager, is interested. he'd tick a lot of boxes (though not all, or even the ones that I've been prioritizing) but it's a weird move logistically. like that's gonna be a p significant step back. he's trying to realign into my team's focus, and he said he was more or less forced into being a people leader, both of which I get, but still

I agree, but my wife absolutely hates it, so I take on the burden of taking it out of our trash can and walking it to the bin lol.

2 elementary aged kids.

Me: all cooking/dishes and grocery shopping, all home repairs, most yard work, all financial/taxes, TAKING TRASH OUT

Her: Most kid stuff, most social stuff, buying shit we don’t get at the grocery store

Split: laundry, bill paying (mostly auto billed though), house cleaning is outsourced
 
I think I could more easily split our household duties into lists before we had a second kid, now it just seems to be pure chaos and we both just handle things whenever we can

Yeah honestly took me some thinking to even make my list. Only things I’m positive on are I do all cooking and taxes, most everything else can largely be fluid if needed.

trash and bathrooms are my definite chores, laundry for her. since I do most of the cooking I also do the kitchen cleaning but if she bakes or cooks she'll clean up after herself.
