MBB Game 15: @ FSU Tuesday (yikes) 7 pm ACCN

So my power went out at halftime. Was trying to follow on gamecast. What the hell happened with the 4? straight turnovers in like a 2 minute span in the first 4 minutes of the 2nd half?
It’s life on the road in conference. Just look and see that #2 undefeated Houston lost at Iowa St by 4 and #1 Purdue just lost by 16 at Nebraska. FSU is huge so it makes it hard to go inside and we can’t throw the ball away 20 times and expect to beat anybody on the road!

Relatively small thing that bothered me tonight. During the last minute or so when they needed quick buckets, they kept trying to hunt good shots instead of taking deep quick threes. A good three point shooting team should be less picky in that situation.

Lost power, watched in 5 second increments with buffering, but this was a game we lose 100% of the time. We have NEVER matched up against a more physical team, literally in any sport, and come out dominant.

The constant turnovers were a problem, I hope we fix ball handling and don't let this be the key for other teams.

Terrible loss, uninspired, sloppy. Very good teams do not play like this.

When a team surrenders 87 points it is not likely to win. When a team allows its opponent to shoot 51%/54%/80% it is not likely a win. When the opponent shoots 30 free throws a win isn't likely. When a team commits 20 turnovers they don't deserve to win. Those are the reasons the Deacs didn't win. Nobody to blame but themselves.

I had meeting tonight with the gamecast up. It was apparently as bad as it seemed. These kids either want this enough or they don’t. We have zero room for error.

ETA: I meant from here on out. Tonight obviously has to be put behind us.
Well I don’t think that’s a fair take. They sucked out loud, but I wouldn’t have said there was an effort issue.

I obviously did a shitty job of expressing myself here because I really didn’t mean this to be a negative post. I meant that tonight sucked but is behind us. Very little room for error but the Deacs control their own destiny And have the talent to make the tourney. It was supposed to be a “we can do this post” although obviously that didn’t come across the way I wanted it to.

Forbes said postgame that he won't flush the game.... but he does flush at home.

Team average 10 turnovers per game. 20 t.o. Unacceptable! Keep in mind that all teams have an off game. Encouraging is that this group were in it until the end. They have a great deal of piss and vinegar and will definitely recover. They play The Taholes in 2 weeks on their court. I wanted a win last pm but would forget last nights debacle if they kick Carolinas ass!!!

The turnovers that weren’t forced were the main concern (throwing ball out of bounds, dribbling off the foot etc). Have to think we need a more offensive presence from our big guys to give our guards somewhat of a break.

Literally every single team in the country, including the best ones, lay a couple stinkers every season. It’s completely normal. We laid a stinker and only lost by five. We’re still a good team
Bad losses, sure. Not in this same fashion though.
