2021 Fitness / Weight-Loss Accountability Thread - BACK FOR 2024!

Successful day 1 of my new schedule. Weekly diabetic friendly lunch prep and workout at O2 Fitness during my lunch break.

4oz brown rice
5oz black beans/peppers/onions
3oz rotisserie chicken
2oz roasted broccoli
1 mandarin orange
 
Coffee
Banana
Two tacos
Chips and salsa
Gym
6 wings
Two pieces of fried chicken (white meat), grilled veggies
2 Topo Chico Hard Seltzers
2 servings of Harry & David Moose Munch Premium Popcurn (chocolate covered)
 
For anybody that wants my roasted broccoli recipe, it’s killer

6 cups fresh broccoli florets
2/3 cup avacado oil (olive or canola work)
2/3 cup lime juice
1 tablespoon verde hot sauce
1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon onion powder
Sea salt

  • Mix oil, lime juice, hotsauce, garlic, onion powder
  • Toss broccoli florets in mixture
  • Spread florets on roasting pan or air fryer basket
  • Dust with sea salt

- Roast at 400 for 10 minutes or until you smell them burning

Back on the macro tracking train after being in NY so long.

Yesterday I did 241P, 144C and 60F
I need to up my carbs a bit I think so I have room to cut them in the future if needed

2/3C of oil? Am I reading that right?

I guess most of it drains off?
 
That does sound like a ton of oil. And if it drains off that’s expensive too.

I also am a huge broccoli fan, eat it multiple times a week but I just make steamed broccoli. Delicious.

I liked steamed broccoli with a little salt and pepper.
