Deacs Seton Hall Game Thread

We have to accept the fact that this team will get beat up every night....we can not compete with 90% of the ACC.
 
I thought we looked pretty good except for that stretch in the first half when CJ was out. We just couldn't hit our outside shots. Nikita and TC continue to frustrate me with nearly every aspect of their games.

Do not understand why we keep playing TC over Fields -- the half-court offense flows so much better with Fields in the game, and he's a better/smarter defensive player, as well.
 
The stretch in the first half when CJ went out was a disaster.

The adjustment in the second half to put McKie in the high post instead of Nikita was a good one, but you have to wonder why we didn't start that way.
 
Based on the lack of threads it sure looks like a lot of people have just stopped caring about this team. Maybe it's because it's the weekend.
 
I think some of it has to do with the game not really fitting the polemic opinions of those most likely to start threads or comment.

We didn't play super poorly, and hung in there and played with effort in a game most thought we'd lose anyway (I voted that I thought we'd beat them, but didn't really believe it).

But I do think much of it may have had to do with people just not trying to watch it on espn3 on a Saturday evening. I think even if we were good, if we were just on espn3 on a Saturday night, there would be much less chatter on it. The relative "meh"-ness of Seton Hall contributed.
 
Even I'm starting to get apathetic. I just don't care enough to get mad anymore.

And let's be honest. As soon as we start winning again, you'll all care. It won't matter who the coach is.
 
I care. I still watch the games and root for Wake to win. It's just that losing is expected and it's not worth it to be upset after a loss anymore.

Exactly. People get pissed at you for being upset. Weirdly the people who like Bz the most don't get as upset by the lack of improvement.
 
No, I get upset. I just don't feel the need to make repetitious posts about it and make fun of our coach for the car he drives.

Repetitious posts are only cool of they're drinking the Kool Aid which was my point.

First you are making an incorrect assumption. We will never be a winning program with Ron's buddy as coach. The only place Buzz can take this program is mediocrity. If you think I'm going to get excited because we beat teams like Nebraska once in a while, you're wrong. Buzz getting lucky and having a "winning" season may be enough for you, but not me. We will never be competitive year in and year out with Duke and Carolina as long as we have the Buzzzz.

There is nothing in the way Dino was terminated or the way Buzz was hired that brings honor to Wake Forest. You want to correct the culture, there's where you can start. I'm NEVER going to forgive Buzz (or Ron) for doing this to our basketball program. Further, I'm losing respect for President Hatch every day that he allows this disgrace to continue.

I think the idea of blaming coach [Redacted] for taking a job that was offered to him is ridiculous. What should he have done? He's not done anything that he hadn't done at previous stops. Be upset with RW if you want but I don't get all the hate towards Coach.

To blame Jeff [Redacted] for accepting the job from Ron Wellman is absolutely ludicrous. You are certainly free to think what you want, but honestly this POV is asinine in my opinion.
