Music City Bowl Ticket Update

I am surprised we are having this much trouble selling 10k tix to a bowl game in Nashville on Dec 30. Perhaps the way we played the last 5-6 games has dampened enthusiasm.

Or perhaps we're in the midst of an ultra long economic wasteland where nearly 1 in 5 people is unemployed/underemployed and many fans look at the $500 to head to Nashville for a couple days and decide it's not in their best interest to go.

This x a million. Which is why the bowl system is starting to get absurd. Fan bases are getting tired of paying out the ass to see an essentially meaningless game.

I am not sure how a spin of "We sold our allotment" makes sense. If you are trying to sell tickets wouldn't you go in the other direction and try to encourage people to buy more.

I am a little dense, so some one explain this to me. . .

The athletic dept is not saying "we've sold our allotment", it's something to the tune of "progressing towards selling out our allotment." The demand does not appear to be there and they are deflecting by putting a positive spin on it. If they've gone from 5000 to 5500 over the past few days, then technically it's true that they're progressing towards selling out the allotment. If the AD was really close to selling out, say, over 9000 sold, they'd be spouting off with those numbers. "Only a few hundred tickets remain, get yours before they're gone." Or something along those lines.

I guess I see what you are saying, but I still don't see how saying that advances the goal of selling more tickets.

Wife and I made the trip to Syracuse. Missed BC and Clem and made all the others. After The Vandy ass fuck, I knew I would not even go to Charlotte had that worked out. The fact that my Dad has Dementia, Parkinson's, & Multiple Myeloma and father in law has Stage 4 lung cancer made the decision even easier. I've given plenty of support this year. See all in late April, Lord willing......Go Deacs

Do you have to call them to find out your seats?

Got mine today at lunch via FedEx. Section 241, Club Level. We must at least be selling the Club Level seats at a decent rate.

I'm gonna buy 7 club seats today for our group. They told me on the phone yesterday that they could give me my seat locations once I ordered them.

Especially since IMO 6-6 teams do NOT deserve bowl bids and Music City has 2 of them!

136 Row K. It's nice (and surprising) that we can get such good seats through the DC.

I did not order until yesterday and was offered club seats in 244 or lowers in 141. When I mentioned that I was a DC member I was able to get club seats on row P in 239 or lowers around 138 or 139. Apparently there are still some holdback DC seats available. Based on my experience, it looks like tickets are selling pretty well.
