Duke 3 star RB decommits, and commits to...

Whoa, apparently there are two DeacMoms. Old DeacMom has a space in her name. The DeacMom on this thread does not.

Maybe I should change my name? Not a problem.... I didn't realize there was another one by the same name. I do believe my name on the Scout board had App in it somewhere. As you can tell by the huge number of posts I have made, this is not a habit with me. I mostly like to read and enjoy the back and forth among various posters.

DeacMom, let me know if you want your name changed. I can do it pretty quickly.

Ok, probably the case. I was pretty sure that i heard there were two different numbers for his pay. But i don't know. If somebody else knows for sure, that would be great, now i'm interested.

On Wake's 990, they have to report compensation to highest compensated employees from any related organizations - none is listed for Grobe. We show $2.16MM in base comp, $46M in incentive/bonus comp, $21M in "other comp" -no idea what that is, $24M in deferred comp, and $15M in non-taxable benefits.

Since this turned into an App thread I thought I would post this.

Nice to see Presley getting it done. Sounds like he might get a chance to join up with some team's camp. Could not happen to a more deserving guy

I believe App got a new WR and RB coach this week. Sit beside Sam Martin in my Finance class and we were talking about it today. He said it should go public later this week. Still looking for an OL coach

Oh and I got the story on the transfer. Apparently Duke told him he couldnt enroll until the summer. He graduated high school a semester early and wanted to hop right in to college. App told him they would take him in this semester so that's why he switched.

Wow.

Some serious stuff going on with the APP coaching staff right now. One of their assistants was recently named head coach of traditional rival Western Carolina, and he took 3(!) APP assistants with him. Hard to figure leaving argueably the best FCS program for one of the worst. On top of that, Jerry Moore's son is no longer on teh staff, and former APP QB Scott Satterield has been brought in as OC with the title (according to Moore dictated by the AD) of Associate Head Coach. Satterfierld says he left a FBS coordinator's position at FIU specifically to be able to be able to succeed Moore when the time comes, but no comment from Moore on when he plans to retire and no Jimbo Fisher-esque gurantee from the administration that he'll be offered the job.
I could make the arguement that the successor to Moore will be the among the most important head FB coach hire in the state in recent years due to how that university's growth in popularity, quality of students and the amount of $$ pouring in to all unviersity programs has been tied to football success.

What is this kid's name? I have yet to see it in this thread.

The shake up in the coaching staff was going to happen weather Mark Speir left or not. Moore's kid is a complete fuck up (was only there because he was his son) and we have not preformed up to our standards. Everyone in Boone is stoked that we talked Satterfield to come back. He was the architect of the National Championship teams and as soon as he left our offensive production went in the toilet relatively speaking (including the year Edwards was there). He also had success both places he went. He is the real deal. The is hard for me to believe because I lived right beside him the year we went undefeated and he was the QB. I am shocked that he has turned out to be some sort of offensive guru...he was not that great of a QB and he seemed kind of dopey to me.

SkinsNDeacs is pretty accurate here- A lot of people were frustrated because not only was Moore's son awful, Moore was known to play favorites and always take his side when there was a dispute between the younger Moore and the rest of the staff. As for the rest of the guys leaving and getting Satterfield back, it has most people in the know excited because it was time for the staff to get some new blood and it was kind of well known that the rest of the staff was riding on the coat tails of what Moore and Satterfield put together- at this poing, however, Moore is really showing his age and you can tell he is losing it mentally in his interviews.
