2013 FB RECRUITING MEGATHREAD: Stevenson! 1RB,1DL,1K,2WR,5LB,1QB,5OL,3DB,2TE

According to Rivals Likely has a top 3 of Wake, LSU and Stanford. This would be a coup if we could land him, not too many 4 stars grace the doors at this place.

It would be hilarious if we landed anybody over LSU and Stanford. That'd be great.

I don't think Stanford ever extended an offer to Tanner. I remember hearing that they only offered QBs who had come to one of their camps or something, and Tanner committed to us a couple weeks before he was scheduled to do that. Could be wrong, though.

Not only did they offer, they were pushing him to change his mind after he verbally committed.

Yes, Stanford definitely offered. Harbaugh even lamented not getting Tanner.

Tanner is a very high ceiling IQ guy -- on and off gridiron -- but he has a football IQ that may well place him among the top 5-6 college QB's by the time he graduates. He certainly has the size, poise, arm strength and accuracy -- he is still young compared to his peers yet has equaled the development of a Glennon or Renner. This guy will pass both of those guys' reputations in this campaign.

only if we can get him some protection...it is hard to throw off your back.

I'm not nearly "down" on our OL as much as jacked up about our DL -- a DL I'd not trade for anybody else's in the ACC.

No,no Gold-Damnit,not even the yearly overblown crew at Fsu.

I Simply DO NOT BUY Fisher. I sell Fisher. I don't see it happening. They have a dark cloud over that program...not as bad as the one I have yearly predicted for unc since the year 2000...but just shitty enough luck to do the guy in.

So... you ARE nervous about our OL. Not sure what FSU had to do with it. (Although I agree they're overblown).

Oh,heck yes I'm nervous but not without some real expectation...they have to prove it but the HC is not yanking your chain when he tells you "this is the most size and physical ability we've had since I've been here" --

These guys need some alchemy...they need as many reps as they can get but they are bigger, faster and stronger (as a whole) as the group which included Azolina,Collins and Moosebrugger...

Is the swelling down on Chase's knee by now? Any more thoughts on action to take?

The Hoos just landed a 5 star RB today. It would be nice if we could get a couple more commitments in the next few weeks.
