Annual Fantasy Fball/Advice Thread

Ok with Hernandez injured I need a new TE. who should I pick up among Bennett, Heath Miller, Scott Chandler, Dennis Pitta, or Marcedes Lewis?

I tied this week while getting a combined 1 point from Fitz, Julio, and Blackmon..... Such Bullshit

Can't argue with Bennett or Chandler's production so far.

I really think it depends on whether the league is a ppr league. He has two td's on 4 catches. Where Pitta has about 8 catches a game. I actually like Bennett and Pitta better than Chandler. Bennett has two td catches per game and the Giants use te's a lot. Ballard won me a few games off the Giants last year.

Should I drop the NE Defense and pick up either Detroit , Buffalo, or New Orleans (vs Tennessee, Cleveland, KC respectively?)

I dropped them for Philly. NO or Det might be a good play.

Stay away from NO at all costs. After watching them the last two weeks, they have no chance of stopping teams from scoring at least 28 points. I think you go Buffalo out of those three iodeac, but I would not feel good about any of those options.

KC offense is worse than both than the other two's opponents which is why I suggested them.

I'm going to try and pick up Pitta in FA this week. I hope no one in my league has been paying attention to him. I need a backup for Gronk and Fred Davis is pretty much a non-factor in WAS's offense so far.

What do you guys think about this trade I received?

I give up DMC and I get Chris Johnson and Pierre Garcon.

No Johnson is not going to do anything this year.

I have the following running backs and was thinking of trading one for an upgrade at wr. AP, Reggie Bush, Spiller, Trent Richardson.

My WR are Brandon Marshall, Antonio brown, with desean Jackson on the bench. Id want a consensus top 5 receiver.

Any suggestions.

trade Spiller if you can. he is producing now but when Jackson comes back (1 or 2 weeks) his numbers will drop considerably...maybe catch someone not paying attention.

It would be stupid to use my waiver pick to get my Seattle D back, right? I have the 2 spot on the wire, and I dropped Seattle stupidly for Cincinnati thinking they'd rail the BEngals QB and they didn't, so now I'm worried I might lose them. I don't need anything else really, as my team is #1 in the league and has 40 more points than the second place team so far.

Garcon would be the best piece of that puzzle. CJ is worthless in my opinion and hasn't shown any signs of life in over a year. DMC looks pretty bad too, but he had a decent week 1 so maybe this week was just an anomaly.

I disagree with this. IMO Spiller keeps the starting job even when FJax comes back. He's been play far too well for them to just bench him for Freddy. Yeah, Jackson might take some 3rd downs and maybe vulture a goal line score or two, but with the two back to back weeks Spiller has had (and the last 6 weeks of the 2011 season) I value him pretty highly. Maybe that's just me. That doesn't mean don't trade him for a great WR, just that I don't think his touches are going to fall off a cliff in a couple weeks.

As to your dilemma... Good grief how the hell do you have so many good RBs?! You must have slaughtered your opponent this week. Anyways, if you're looking for a top receiver, obviously Megatron is the man, but I wouldn't expect to give up anything less than AP + a weaker receiver for him. If you go Spiller, Richardson, or Reggie Bush you could probably land someone like Roddy White or Julio Jones, Hakeem Nicks or Victor Cruz, Andre Johnson if you think he'll stay healthy, that type of player. You could possibly consider Percy Harvin as well, although I might try and ask for another weaker piece in addition to him if you're giving up one of those backs. Steve Smith is play great as well, although he may be hurt and LaFell looks better every week.

If there isn't anything else you're interested in on the waivers, I don't see why you wouldn't use it. Unless you're playing in a league where the waiver order doesn't change every week, which is weird

No, it only changes when someone uses their waiver wire. Like, if I was 1 and used it I would go to 10 next week and move up as others used it. I think I'll just wait and hope no one picks their D up. Most everyone else has a solid defense or two so I don't think anyone would pick them up.

Trade I'm pondering in a 12-team, 0.75 ppr league:

I give up Brady and Colston

I get Schaub (or RapeTheBurger), Brandon Marshall, and the Law Firm

If the trade goes through, my team would be:
QB - RGIII and Schaub/Big Ben
RB - Fred Jackson, DeAngelo, Law Firm, McGayhee, Leshoure and Tolbert
WRs - Cruz, Marshall, Wayne, Mike Williams (TB), and Randall Cobb
TE - Aaron Hernandez and Gresham

I originally asked for Roddy White as the WR, but he wants to substitute Marshall.

What say ye?

Who should I start at TE this week:

Antonio Gates (Questionable - Ribs)
Martellus Bennett
