I certainly hope he wasn't being punished for fumbling at ND. He got the hell knocked out of him.

If Grobe is punishing kids for bad play, we should have forfeited today.

Grobe said harris had strep throat and coming off the concussion they wanted to hold him out....

I don't think he could have helped much anyway. With the current clusterfuck that our coaching staff is...this game had been mailed in weeks ago.

My dad and I discussed this before the game. It is ridiculous how many players don't see the field after making a mistake. Running backs fumble, it happens.

ETA may not have been the case today with Harris, but it has happened in the past.

Keep in mind that Harris tweeted that he just had the wind knocked out of him. He may perceive that he was doghoused even if it was for legit medical reasons. Wouldn't blame him if he graduated and left.
 
Martin is a better back anyway IMO, let harris pack his bags if he feels slighted. I think he has seen more than his fair share of carries this year given the ability of Martin. Now if I were Orville Reynolds I might be looking to go elsewhere.

And if this is the case, then as WakeJake tweeted, there are serious communication issues between our coaches and players.

ETA: wanted to clarify that sentence above. It was confusing when I read it as I got more drunk.

Conservative Grobe strikes again. Strep throat? 2 doses of an antibiotic and you're good to go. Grobe complains about toughness all the time, but he holds a kid out for strep? Good Lord.

Was the Harris "concussion" confirmed?

Maybe. It could just be a player wanting to go when it's not in his best medical interest. Of course, that does beg the question KVegas makes.

I think Harris is the better back. He's never been given the opportunity to get into a rhythm with our erratic play calling. Even so, he breaks a long one every game. We are wasting him, just as we did Kevin Harris. This coaching staff's decision making is maddening. It's like needing to paint a single piece of furniture in a room. Everyone can see that's what needs painting but then the painter paints the ceiling, the walls, and the floor and in the meantime the only thing that needed painting remains unpainted. It's inexplicable and extremely frustrating.

Ditto, I think Harris did well with the carries he got this year. I truly believe he'd be a 1000 yard back with a good o-line, but he can't do anything getting tackled at the handoff, or running for his life sideline to sideline. He's not a bowling ball, it's not his fault that there is always someone in front of him.
 
I feel like an idiot for thinking we would win today. Like someone else said a lot of the 5 win teams rose to the occasion today. Meanwhile we played like we did against them last year, like we had already clinched a bowl. Vandy is good but we should not be losing to them by 34.

Great tailgating but shitty weather and shitty team this year.
 
Holy balls.

I want Nikita to be our AD, head football coach, both coordinators, head basketball coach, and nose guard all at once.
