“I’m just going to say I’m not gay. I really, really like women.”

Holy shit, I'm so glad I randomly opened this thread. Incredible work by Rico.

Well since my comments were so appreciated, I'll elaborate on the grad-school girlfriend I mentioned earlier:

She always wore very nice dresses or business suits to class, although the other women in law school would just wear sweats or jeans and put their hair in a ponytail. And she had the outward appearance of being a prude, avoiding alcohol, speaking and acting in a very proper manner, etc. She was in my study group when I first started law school, and it just proceeded from there. When we finally hooked up, she was a freak. I was accustomed to the holy trinity of sexual positions (missionary, cowgirl, and doggie), but we'd be doing it and she'd twist her body into some freaky position and rock my world. It was apparent that either she or an ex-boyfriend watched a lot of porn to learn all those positions. Every day after early class, we'd walk to my apartment and she'd undress and have really slutty lingerie on, like stockings with garter belts, and she'd nail me all over the apartment. She'd frequently ask me to spank her. I never told my friends what a freak she was, because it was totally opposite of her public persona and I didn't want the guys around law school knowing that she was so kinky to attract competition. As we developed into a real relationship, she started telling me about how she was very ordinary in high school with ultra-strict religious parents and the gay boyfriend who only came out later in college. Then she went to a women's college. At the women's college, it was a thing for the students to date considerably older men. One time we were shopping in a prominant local business, and she told me how she dated the store owner after his divorce when she was in college, and how they were making out and he only went down on her because she told him she was a virgin. Then she had a relationship with this guy who was 12+ years older, who had dropped out of law school and became a restaurant manager. At the time, I was bothered and a little jealous that she had dated an older man, but the more I thought about it, the more I learned to appreciate the guy because he had apparently turned her into this sex machine that I was reaping the rewards of. But over the years I thought about it more and more, and now I think that maybe she was so kinky and sexually adventurous because her first BF had turned gay and she developed a deep-seated fear of not being sexy enough for men. And I think she talked so much about her previous sex partners because the concept of confession was instilled in her at an early age with her strict religious upbringing.

Story was awesome, up to an including the really judgmental last two sentences.

Between macdeac's cryptic "I know for a fact" post and Boogity being Boogity, this is easily the best thread of 2014 thus far.

Little Shop of Horrors is your favorite musical? AND JOSEPH IS SECOND?! Joseph isn't even the best Christian-related musical! Have you only seen two musicals?

Art is subjective. Grease was way over-played and not even as good as Little Shop. And Jesus Christ Superstar only had 2 good songs and the rest was a bunch of wierdo hippie drivel.

Wizard of Oz? Mary Poppins? Fiddler on the Roof? West Side Story? Sound of Music? Bye Bye Birdie? Music Man?

NOPE Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat

The best part about this thread is I now attribute the quote in the title to Boogity, just because.

I'll bet you have...

I had a very similar experience with a girl at undergrad at Wake...she was a year ahead of me....she had the ultra conservative public look (think a bowhead who wore khaki pants, high end sundresses or expensive winter style stuff) and the freaky private habits. I'm talking she liked hot candle wax, she liked to be spanked and bitten, she liked being tied up, etc. Ditto on the lingerie. She also had an ex who was gay. She had not, to my knowledge, been with older guys, just one other dude who (thankfully) went to Carolina and they did the long distance thing for a while before me. I didn't want to know about him at the time of course but looking back I owe him! Anyway Rico has the better story and explanatory skills, but I thought some of the parallels were interesting. I have no idea where that woman is now...probably in a church choir with three JCrew kids and a small town banker husband who smiles every day even though his job sucks!

Brangus, I think you and I were at Wake at the same time. Sadly, your description doesn't narrow down the pool much.

NOPE FUCK ROGERS AND HAMMERSTEIN, KANDER AND EBB, BUT MOST OF ALL FUCK SONDHEIM THAT GUY KNOWS NOTHING

dude, you didn't even pick good Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Oh man. You're right. Would have been better if the movie was "Little Shop of Male Whores" or something like that.

Right? I couldn't believe he cut off the story before the awkward movie reveal.

Richard Rogers did his best work with Lorenz Hart. Boys from Syracuse, Pal Joey, and Babes in Arms are all classics.
