Boogity Boogity. Nice finish by Junior and really nice race by Danica all day long.

Indeed. Great run by Junior. Danica silenced a lot of critics today.

Terrific job by Regan Smith and Phoenix Racing! I've got a soft spot in my heart for James Finch and his team. This is a big day (and payday) for them to finish seventh.

You want a rule preventing burnouts? Good luck with that!

You can burnout all you want. But if you tear up something and it doesn't pass inspection take away the win. None of this "Oh our front end was too low because of the damage from the burnout."

I think she was waiting to follow Biffle down, too....but he just sat there, like he was happy to finish 2nd. If he had dropped down with two laps to go, she would have followed him....and it would have been a really interesting last two laps, because Junior and the others would have sucked right up into both lanes behind them.

But like you said, when she saw that Biffle wasn't going to do it, her best move would have been to make the move herself. I guess you don't have much time to make those decisions, though.

Thought this was going to happen but didn't. Would've been better. Also agree that Jr. would've pushed her around JJ, too. Eiether scenario would have been more interesting than JJ pulling away.

Burnouts are fine. Ramming the front end into the infield on your way to a burnout is different.

I don't really mind that Johnson cheats all the time. He is just a douche.

Haters are gonna hate on Johnson. They will always come up with something.

Nice run by Jr. at the end. Too bad he couldn't get around Jimmy.

Danica had a great day! That, despite not really getting much help. Biffle was pushing her some and she did well when he was behind her. She got caught behind him at the end and wasn't good at doing the pushing so she fell back. She could have easily cracked the top 5 had Biffle been behind her the last lap. Now, the real season starts next week. We'll see if she is legit or still a C group driver.

Kyle Busch blew an engine.
Kurt Busch wasn't a factor.
Fuck the Busches.

I still like Mark Martin. Nice to see him still running so well, old man or not.

A lot of people didn't like the two by two racing, but I didn't mind it. It sure was better than no one really being able to pass. Follow the leader gets old quick.

Had Jr been pushed buy Danica, I could easily see him hoisting the trophy. She had a super fast car, and he had a great run up through there.

On to Phoenix, which is one of my favorite tracks. I was fortunate enough to see a race there a few years ago (pre-repave), and fell in love with the track. If you're ever out that way, I'd suggest watching a race from the mountain outside of turns 3 and 4. It was such a great experience, and you arent cramped into grandstands so you can stretch out.

I for a fact would freight train Danica.

I also loved seeing the Bush idiots not a factor. How Kurt continues to scrape up a ride stuns me.

I'm thinking about going to the day race at Bristol on Sunday, March 17 at 1:00 p.m. (just driving over that morning and coming back that evening)

Anybody interested?

So what do you folks think Jeremy Clements said to get suspended? In the ESPN story he says it was racial, "not in context but in term." And he says he was "describing racing, and the word I used was incorrect."

My best guess is he said the phrase "N-rigged."

http://jalopnik.com/what-racist-remark-got-jeremy-clements-suspended-from-n-450628274

After the driver's meeting, Clements said he was approached by a NASCAR employee who was escorting a reporter from MTV. The reporter asked him where driver Joanna Long's transporter was, and he walked them over there and continued to talk to them.

"And while we're walking they started, he (MTV) started, asking me questions," Clements said. "And it wasn't recorded. We were just talking. So I said one remark about how I wouldn'..."
He stopped short.
"I can't say that part," he said.
"That's pretty much how it happened," he continued. "And even after I said what I said, they still kept asking me questions. It didn't seem like it was a big deal at all. I didn't even think twice about it, like, after. I know I shouldn't have said it. Even when I did say it, I shouldn't have said it. But I didn't think it was going to be a big deal."
Earlier in the story, ESPN pressed Clements on whether the remark was "racial or not." He said it was, but declined to elaborate.
Clements would not verbalize the specific comments he made, but when pressed for clarity about whether or not it was racial he paused. Asked again by ESPN.com: "Was it racial or not? Maybe not in context, but in term?" Clements replied: "Correct."
"When you say racial remark, it wasn't used to describe anybody or anything," Clements said. "So that's all I'm going to say to that. And it really wasn't. I was describing racing, and the word I used was incorrect and I shouldn't have said it. It shouldn't be used at all."
It's not clear how the remarks came to light. Clements seems to imply that either the reporter or the NASCAR employee reported it to the governing body. His comments have not yet been printed or aired.

Not that she was having a great race, but you can't put this one on her. Too bad it wasn't a Busch blowing a tire and going into the wall.

Pretty good racing today for the first real race in the Gen 6 where the spoiler matters. Loved the dive bomb move by Denny for second.
