2019 offical College Football thread

TheReff indeed feels better about being beatdown by UVA because Alabama, representing the SEC, is in the national championship.

That was a total beat down by UVa. I was at that game and they could not figure out the UVa QB. He was too quick to catch when they put pressure on him and when he did pass he had a very quick release. Plus Bronco had a great defensive game plan and totally stymied anything they tried.

But on the other hand as far as SEC football is concerned in comparison with ACC football, you chumps just can't compare the 2. The SEC had 8 teams ranked by the committee in the Top 25 vs 2 in the ACC and the SEC had 5 teams playing New Years Day or after compared to only 1 for the ACC--Clemson. Clemson is all we have in the ACC when it comes time to talk power football. FSU & Louisville are down & out. Miami has left the scene and their coach retired. VT had a losing season which was unusual for them. NC State choked again. We have Syracuse & maybe UVa on the rise.

Your intelligence is always so representative of typical USCe fans. Go post on some random Cock board with all the other insufferable moron fans they have...and I’m from Columbia so I know there are multitudes you will get along with.

of the SEC fanbases, does South Carolina put the most stock in the conference success vis a vis the team's?

Prolly. Potent combo of caring but not being very good, and having their only rival in another conference, and that rival currently dominating, so there's a need to put down their accomplishments somehow

I'd put Arkansas up there as well. Don't interact with them much, obviously, but they've only had 3 winning seasons since Petrino left in 2011, with a max of 8 wins, and 4 seasons with less than 5 wins. But, SEC West pride runs deep.

Think so. It may go back to their leaving the ACC in 1971 and twisting in the wind for twenty years with little success (they did have a Heisman Trophy winner in 1980s) until the SEC picked them up in 1991. Clemson's superior football program grates at the Gamecock faithful; so, they feel like the only card they can play is the conference affiliation BS, while Clemson plays for another NC.

A simple yes would have sufficed.

South Carolina also has the vast inferiority complex by being both the fake Carolina and fake USC, hence why they actually put just Carolina on all their jerseys and field

is that the worst thing that's happened to Bama all season?
