That’s how I think it will happen too.

The Skins winning the division helps if we are a wild card team but not if we are a division champ.

I don’t think it’s too far fetched that the 4-2 Skins would finish with the same record as the 4-2 Panthers though.

Possibly but I don't see it. They are not a great team and I would love to draw them in the playoffs (assuming we aren't the 2 seed)

The Redskins are 4-2. I just looked at their schedule. It's easy. They should be favored in every game except @Eagles and @Cowboys. 10 or 11 wins is not out of the question.

Based on updated DVOA odds, Panthers have the seventh best chance at winning the Super Bowl (2.7%).

Rams, Chiefs, Pats, Saints, Ravens, Chargers, then Panthers.

Rams and Chiefs are way ahead of everyone else as of right now (over a 50% chance one of them wins - although I believe I'd take the field given the option0.

How many non #1 seeds have made the Super Bowl in the past 5 years?

I believe just one? Falcons in 2017 SB? I know the top seed in the AFC has made it to the SB the last five years.

I thought it was something like that. I could see taking the field now in week 7 but no way am I taking the field in week 17 knowing that.

2018 Carolina Panthers 4-2

As much as I love the Rams and Chiefs, you’re talking about a young head coach and a second year starter or Andy Reid and a first year starter.

The Eagles pulled it off last year but that’s tough.

So what odds would you get for Saints/Pats compared to Rams/Chiefs and the field?

I don't buy any dome team that doesn't get to play all playoff games inside. If the Saints play outside in January, they'll lose

Not sure. Odds from Sportsbook today to win the Super Bowl:

Rams +260
Pats +550
Chiefs +600
Saints +850

Saints-Pats are +1500 as a matchup
Rams-Chiefs are +725

Then Rams-Pats are top at +700

Patrick Peterson wants to be traded by the 30th. He doesn't become an unrestricted free agent until 2021 and makes about $11 million a year base salary. Probably not much interest from the Panthers because of the cost, but it'd be an interesting signing.

We are probably fine at CB. Of course I’ve thought that a few times in the last several years. RIP Bene and Worley.

11mil a year with three years remaining on the contract is great value though. I don't think we could make it happen even if we wanted to however.

I believe the Panthers were -2 against the Ravens in one of the "year long" weekly projections that forecast odds at the beginning of the year. Likely due to the Ravens exceeding expectations to this point in the season. Panthers have played about to expectations so far.

I don't generally bet on the Panthers (although I'm 2-0 so far this year, took the Skins last week and the Panthers to cover against Cincy) but if the line stays between +1 and +2, I'll end up taking us straight up. Without having the numbers in front of me, slight home dogs in the NFL are likely to be good value.

I might give up a 1st for Patrick Peterson, but only if the Cardinals would take Kalil and his awful contract off our hands. Obviously, that's not happening.

I think Peterson's a little overrated. Don't think he's ever been a shutdown guy -- though I guess that begs the question if those exist anymore
