The Vandy game is interesting. After losing to ETSU last year, I wonder if they struggle or get beat in game 1 this year.

Definitely rooting for Clark Lea to succeed for multiple reasons. The Clawson coaching tree, SOS, and to disrupt the SEC power structure.

Hawaii is an absolute mess. Last year's coach Todd Graham was peppered (he was fired) with abuse allegations and 21 (yes, 21) players transferred out of Hawaii. Hawaii brings in Timmy Chang, who was a stud QB (he still ranks 2nd all time in total offense at the FBS level) for the Rainbow Warriors. Chang was the receivers coach at Nevada has never been even an a coordinator at the D-1 football level. Hawaii will be starting walk-ons.

The line opened at Hawaii at 2.5, and sharps have pounded Vandy. The line is now Vandy -7. Vandy needs to win this game, as they play Elon next, and then Vandy won't be favored again this season. Looks like Vandy may be a double digit dog in 9 of their last 10 games. Vandy has lost 22 straight SEC games.

How do you know this? Why do you know this?

Searching for teams that will underperform/overperform their season win totals.

Professional bettors pounded the Hawaii under on as soon as the W-L totals came out. The problem is that there are ton of unbelievably depleted teams at the bottom on the Mountain West. So, Hawaii will win some games just because their opponents are so horrid.

FWIW, a potential sneaky unbeaten team this year which may cause some controversy as the season goes on is Air Force. As mentioned, several MWC teams got crushed by the transfer portal (Wyoming, Nevada, New Mexico, Hawaii, UNLV is just terrible). Things can change, but AF may be favored in every game they play this year.

They essentially have a perfect scheduling storm (get Boise State and Colorado State at home; conference is down) with a lot of returning talent. Their Power V opponent is Colorado. Buffs appear to be in disarray. Instead of playing at Army, AF is playing Army in a neutral field game in Texas. Troy Calhoun has flirted with a ton of Power V jobs, but if AF has a 11-1 or 12-0 season; he may get an offer that he can't refuse.

Charlie Brewer played for Baylor in 2017; they opened their season with a loss to...FCS school Liberty (Brewer did not play in that game)

Is Apetit involved? I know he was talking about trying to get more wake content out there

I read that our old friend Christian Beal-Smith is injured and will miss at least the first game and maybe the first 2 or 3 with a foot/ankle injury which sounds similar to what hobbled him the last half of our season last year.

And SCar just got better by subtraction.
