2023 MLB Thread -- World Champion Rangers - Hot Stove Warming Up - Soto to the Yanks - Ohtani's destination unknown

Michael Lorenzen with a no-hitter for the Phils. 124 pitches-feels like lots of guys get pulled at this point even with a no hitter going.

This guy appears to be a horse and his best pitch is a change-up. Not a lot of strain there.

Steve never threw a no-hitter. A lot of one and two-hitters but never a no.

The Oakland/Las Vegas As are 49 games under .500. 49.

I'm not sure any modern era baseball team has finished a season with a winning percentage below .300.
Baseball teams used to all be clumped between .400 and .600. The rare really good teams would get a little above .600 and the really bad teams might be just under .400, like the current Colorado Rockies (.391).

The top seems within historic norms. Two teams (Baltimore .617 and Atlanta .637) above the .600 line of excellence. But the woeful teams really are setting historic records for level of suckiness.

Since expansion in 1962, the worst records are listed below. The A's need to go 10-37 (.213) the rest of the way to match the 2003 Tigers as the worst non-expansion team of the modern era, and since the 1952 Pirates went 42-112:

Yet they want to add more teams. It will only continue to get worse.

That story about him is pretty sketchy. Obviously if there is anything to it send him away, but seems pretty iffy at the moment

The lack of any news source makes it iffy. As of now it’s an IG and Twitter story. When the media starts reporting/investigating we shall see.

And I haven’t see the pictures
