2024 Presidential Primaries and Election

lol, in a speech Nikki Haley's team pitched as a different way to address abortion, Haley accused Dems of fearmongering by saying what Republicans actually want to do.

Because in reality they won't be able to do it.

Because it's unpopular.

That’s just a fact, notwithstanding what the Democrat fearmongers say. They say Republicans are about to ban all abortions nationwide and send women to prison. These wildly false claims, amplified by a sympathetic media, are not designed to do anything other than score political points.

They know as well as anyone that no Republican president will have the ability to ban abortion nationwide, just as no Democratic president can override the laws of all fifty states. It’s just not going to happen.

Meanwhile that video is the first thing Republicans release to attack Biden.

It's funny how scared big strong gun toting 'mericans are of snowflake liberal socialist wimps.

They lost their bud light to effeminate libtards and are only now realizing they lost budweiser years ago to socialist foreigners.

Biden should've just gone full troll with the "Let's Go Brandon" line as his re-election slogan

or something like "Let's Vote Brandon"

The Supreme Court could ban abortion nationwide. So could a Republican majority in the Senate and House with a Republican president.

Guys, you dont have to worry. The NY Times has said at only 3 states actually matter in this election, GA, AZ and WI, and Brandon only needs to win 1 to be president again. He is pretty much going to run 3 local elections, doing ribbon cuttings, coffee talks, and kissing babies and he will get re-elected.

This thing is in the bag.

I got a laugh out if today’s The Daily too. That take forgets all the other state and local elections Biden and Trump will influence particularly the rough Senate map for Dems.

So say what you'd like about Biden but the reality is that he is not a very well liked President and even a less liked Candidate for a second term. But he will win because the Republicans are a total cluster fuck with the two only viable Candidates behind Donald Dump who we all know couldn't get elected dog catcher outside the 50m loons in this Country who believe his bullshit.
Close behind is Ron DeSantis who has turned out in the early going not a clue how to run a national campaign, and is much a loon as Trump with his gestapo like tactics. Another one who couldn't get elected anywhere outside Florida and by the other 20 million loons this Country has. But if the majority of those loons are convinced that a more moderate Pub could beat Biden, they may be attracted to support him/her. And who might this moderate be? I say Chris Christie. Sure it's a long shot and he have to modify some of his more right wing antics and seek center ground (i.e. 20 week abortion limitation) but face it, he may be the only viable option the Pubs have. And if he could settle down the ground swell against Pubs with the abortion issue, concentrate on immigration reform, law and order and fiscal reform, and silence the right wing extremists. he might have a shot.

There's no path to the presidency for a "center ground" seeking Republican. Folks who still identify as Republicans at this point are one of three groups: 1) Donald supporters (biggest faction by far), 2) folks to claim to be "fiscally conservative but socially liberal," or 3) folks who registered as Republicans at some point but are too lazy to change it or don't care enough to (apathy large here - not particularly politically involved).

Since the first group dominates the current GOP, there's no path whatsoever for someone targeting the second or even third group - especially since the third group doesn't really care that much.

You are right in two of your classifications but the first. I don't believe for a second the majority of Pubs are any longer Donald Dump supporters, "by far".

If all the republican candidates are too far right for you, maybe it is not the candidates...

I think that's pretty clear from polling and the fact that a lot of Republicans who were anti-Donald changed their affiliation to unaffiliated or independent when they saw Donald take over the party for the better part of 6+ years now. Donald is polling at a rolling average of 52% with Republicans for the 2024 primary.

The party is Donald sycophants and not much more. If you're still a Republican and anti-Donald you're absolutely in the minority.
