Looks like:

FIRST ROUND, Thursday

(8) Maryland vs. (9) Wake Forest, noon
(5) N.C. State vs. (12) Boston College, 2:30
(7) Clemson vs. (10) Virginia Tech 7
(6) Miami vs. (11) Georgia Tech, 9:30

QUARTERFINALS, Friday

(1) North Carolina vs. Maryland/Wake Forest, noon
(4) Virginia vs. N.C. State/Boston College, 2:30
(2) Duke vs. Clemson/Virginia Tech, 7
(3) Florida State vs. Miami/Georgia Tech, 9:30

I'm optimistic against Maryland, but we had Walker who actually had one of his more productive games up at College Park (7 blocks I think?). We also had McKie with 25.

Here's the recap of the last game: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recap?gid=201201110343

C. Desrosiers 8 1-3 0-1 0-0 1 1 0 0 0 2 5 2
Totals 25-56 5-17 9-13 10 36 10 12 1 11 28 64

I'm all about not letting the Terps take out both Wake teams in the ACC Tourney. Let's just see if we can put a complete game together.

Maryland has had a rough end to the season. Rougher than ours. This is as good a.first round matchup as we could have hoped for. If we get blown out it will be a(nother) huge black mark on the program.

If Carson can keep playing like he has the last few games, and Chase doesn't go 1-7 from the field like he did in our game earlier this year, I like our chances to beat them this time around.

Md beats Wake, State beats BC, Clemson beat VT & Miami beats GT on Thursday

That is one shitty looking tournament.

One lower seeded team will win. Hope it's us obviously.

There will be about 17 people in attendance, because they were forced to go under gunpoint. The noon game is a killer especially when a team from Alaska is playing a team with a teeny alumni base.

Historically, we have embarrassed ourselves in Atlanta vs. MD, especially struggling MD teams.

The last two games were instrumental in ending the coaching careers at Wake for those coaches.

On paper this it the best match up for us, hope we take advantage of it and at least make it competitive if not pull the upset.

State's RPI is gonna drop like a turd just by playing BC. They'll need to win on Friday just to make up for it.

This is three straight times we will play Maryland in the first round of the tournament when held in Atlanta.

I want to pick us, but I think Ty Walker's dismissal will be the difference between a WF win and a WF loss here.

Wait, what

O/U on the number of seats actually occupied at noon on Thursday.

I'll say 1500.
