BBall Recruiting Thread 2k16- SJM, Washington, Childress & Mitchell sign NLIs; 2017?

At this point I don't know if adding anyone to an already sub-par class is a good idea. We maybe have one scholarship in 2017 if Rondale leaves. So any decent recruiting class doesn't come until 2018, which maybe makes us okay by 2019? That is the most depressing part of this whole thing. Our only real hope is that some of these freshman are substantially better than anyone thinks. Otherwise, we're fighting for NIT berths for the next 4 years.

Which sadly would be an improvement.

Yeah, I agree, I think competitiveness of Wake's money sports isn't even a blip on Hatch's radar or priorities at Wake. Notre Dame is in the top 10, so he's good when it comes to sports.

well good thing we're sliding down the academic rankings as well.

I can't join in the Giles hate.

He's a nice kid. I wonder if he made the decision HE wanted to make or if he felt pressured to make the best "business" decision. He seemed too nervous for someone who was supposedly so sure so long ago...the people around him drank the dook kool-aid a long time ago.

I won't cheer for him, but I do hope the kid rehabs and does well in the NBA (although I feel like he'll just be average now).

Harry can transcend math and have multiple "seconds" Kids gonna be a real PTP'er.

And that our coach is substantially better than he has yet shown.

Agree

They wanted to run Coach K out of Durham after his first year......:couch:

And many wanted to run [Redacted] out of town before his first year. I never said anything about running Manning out of town, only that he hasn't yet proven that he's capable of being a good head coach. The only positive there is that he hasn't disproven it the way that our previous coach did before being hired.
